We were scammed, threatened and forced to leave early and then fraudelently charged additional fees!

We would strongly suggest picking somewhere else as the location is terrible and the property manager is a scamming women who threatened us and tried to extort money from us based on a scam she had with an unconnected business from the property. When you are in a foreign country like Indonesia any threat from a property manager calling the police on a lie is very intmidating. Having a third party whose services the manager pushed lie and make false acusations to a senior citizen couple was a fear we could not have imagined in a million years! We were told we had to leave 3 days early with no refund. The owner we were told hardly ever comes to the property and this manager has a financial angle not only what restaurants she reccomends but selling liquor and wine to you! As we tried to stop using this third party they threatened us, and tried to have us pay them money not to go to the police. This was a tactic of intimidation as the police wete never involved but fortuantly we had limited local money and we were not about to be party to a fraudelent scam! We dont know if the owner is even aware because thinking we spent the week he had additional charges when we psid up 100% before we left and to this day VRBO has not refunded either the 3nights or the additional charges. We have been in contact now that we left with the local police and an attorney in Bali. This experience really ruined our 40th wedding annivesary trip! In addition, the main part of the house has no AC!

Liebe Birgit, lieber Volker, vielen Dank das ihr unsere Gäste wart und das wir euch über die zwei Wochen betreuen durften. Es war uns ein Vergnügen, euch diverse Ausflüge zu organisieren und bei den Einkäufen behilflich zu sein. Wir werden euch stets in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten und hoffen euch eines Tages wieder bei uns auf Bali begrüßen zu dürfen. Auch nochmals vielen Dank für die vielen Geschenke, auch im Namen von meiner Familie, die sich sehr darüber gefreut hat. Wir werden bei dem einen und anderen Verzehr an euch denken und für die Nüsse haben wir jetzt einen Nussknacker bestellt. Wir wünschen euch alles Gute und eine angenehme Heimreise.
