Our stay was Unacceptable!

The pictures are nothing like the place in person. As soon as we arrived the lights were flickering and went out several times. We have 3 kids and had to be in the dark for almost an hour. Then we asked if we could turn the air conditioning on, she told us we had to pay $11 a night to use it after already paying for our stay online. Mind you, we are in Africa which is near the equator, its hot here. She also charged us for bottles of water and tried to the sell the house to my husband for $400,000. We only stayed one night and had to move to a hotel the following day. We will never go back!

Please accept my sincere apology for the problems you had, I can understand your frustration. We pride ourselves in giving the best possible guest experience in our small B&B, and I’m sorry we fell short in this instance. But you have received the room that you booked and the pictures on the bookingsite are correct. It is correct that sometimes light is flickering and went out (this is not abnormal in Gambia) but you have never been in the dark for almost an hour. We have solar and a generator as backup. As mentioned on the bookingsite,you can have AC for a surplus. For the dicounted price that you have paid online, you can not have an all-in service of a 5 star hotel. Again my sincere apology.

Besser für Leute, die mit Tieren verreisen

Wir waren 10 Tage dort. Was am meisten gestört hat waren die Hunde und die Katze, die auch in der Küche rumlungerten. Schon am zweiten Tag waren Tierhaare auf dem Brot. Auswahl war sehr begrenzt. Wir sind dann nicht mehr zum Frühstück als wir sahen , dass die Katze in der Küche auf der Arbeitsfläche rum spazierte. Handtücher müssten manchmal auch angefragt werden. Die Chefin war komisch zu uns. Schade um dieses Objekt. Ist wohl eher was für Tierbesitzer.

Thank you for the review, it is unfortunate you didn’t mention anything to me during your stay. I’m sorry to hear about the cat in the kitchen and the hair you found on your bread. I can guarantee we apply good hygiene and the kitchen is daily cleaned. Regarding the towels, we mention in the house rules to leave them on the ground when you want new towels, this to preserve the environment.

My room was clean and in full funktion ! The pool was also clean ! Good breakfast and the owner was helpful ! If I find somethinh negative is that it was long way to walk or take a taxi for to get a dinner !

호텔이 깨끗하고 직원들도 친절합니다.

호텔시설도 아주 만족스럽고 객실담당자도 친절하고 모두 좋았습니다. 타 호텔에 비해 와이파이상태도 아주 좋네요. 단지 호텔을 찾아갈때 주변에 교통표시판이 있으면 좋을것같습니다. 앞으로 호텔측에서 교통에 관해 개선책을 마련하면 관광객 유치에 더욱 도움이 될 것 같습니다.

Nice bed and breakfast

This is a nice place for a getaway, the rooms and areas are very clean and the staff do a fantastic job. Pool was nice and well kept and you can get drinks on your own and just pay before you leave. The only drawback I would say is the dog kept at the compound who barked loudly at night.

B&B familiar, tranquilo. Con piscina agradable.

Fuera de la zona turística, en un barrio auténtico y tranquilo. Sólo quince minutos a pie hasta el Senegambia Highway donde se puede tomar un taxi barato. Buen desayuno. Buena atención al cliente. Pasamos una semana aquí y lo pasamos súper bien.
