Great Family Getaway!
Publié le 7 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe spent the week here for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time in the house! Kevin was so great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The layout of the house was perfect for our three families and there was plenty of room for our kids of all ages. The views from the house were beautiful and the location was perfect!

Amazing House With Room For Everyone.
Publié le 10 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy group of eight women throughly enjoyed our stay here. There was more than enough room for everyone. The two kitchens gave us plenty of room to cook and store food. The beds are very comfortable. Do be aware there are a lot of stairs, but anyone with mobility issues can easily access the lower level, which has two bedrooms, a kitchen, deck access, and a view of the lake.
The drive to and from Sevieverville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is easy and it was a pleasure looking forward to returning to the house each night.
If we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again!

The best venue for a wedding hidden in this beautiful gem! WOW just wow
Publié le 16 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were blessed enough to have our wedding at this venue/property! it was absolutely perfect, to say the least! We held the ceremony on the driveway which the way it’s set up was perfect! Had the reception on the main floor and had fifty chairs and ten tables with plenty of room! Dressed up stunningly well! And then had our dance hall down stairs with disco lights and was more than enough room for everyone to dance! Can’t say enough good things about the property! The host was so accommodating, with the recent disasters in our area from the hurricane and my guests that were affected by that, we were granted an earlier check-in and later check-out and offered a discount if more days were going to be needed! Anyone that knows how badly Asheville was affected knows what a blessing all of that was! Can’t say enough good things about our experience, and how perfect the property was for our needs and, how great the host was! Thank you for letting us borrow your home! We will look forward to coming back many, many more times in the future!

As a bonus, it's within a short drive to Sevierville.
The whole family greatly enjoyed our stay.

Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayLocation was beautiful. The house was huge so we had plenty of room. It was truly a lovely stay. We loved that there was so much to do! The lake was wasn’t crowded at all, so we had plenty of space to tube and ski. There were just a few small things that were a little disappointing. The hot tub wasn’t up to temperature when we tried to use it the last night, the outside furniture cushions were really worn and stained and the kitchen wasn’t as stocked as we would have liked, but other than that a great stay!

Hi Joanna! Thanks so much for your positive feedback and for taking great care of this property. Yes, guests are encouraged to adjust the hot tub to their desired temperature, rather than the host attempting to guess what each guest would prefer. The property has two FULL kitchens worth of dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, reusable plastic containers, 50+ cooking utensils, Crock Pot, Keurig, drip coffee pot, and Ziploc bags/foil, so we're surprised you couldn't find what you desired. Based upon your feedback, we'll clean or replace some of the outdoor furniture cushions.

Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time. The host was great. The property was perfect and had everything we needed. The only problem we had is the boat ramp shouldn’t be used. It has a large jagged drop off. We ruined a tire and rim pulling the boat out of the water. You should use the public dock until they fix this. There should be a warning sign.

HI Teresa, thanks so much for your positive feedback, and we're grateful you enjoyed your stay! We apologize that your trailer tire was damaged on the boat ramp. The on-property boat ramp is intended for small boats or jet skis, and is not designed to launch a large boat like your group brought. However, there are two public boat ramps conveniently located within 25 minutes of the property for larger boats.

Extended Family Vacation
Publié le 29 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was large enough to house our large extended family. The property inside was decorated nice and with lots of things for the teens and kids to do. HOWEVER, the inside needed to be cleaned a little better. Dusty cob webs in some of the lamps, headboards of beds. Under beds were lots of dust trash and dirty towels. Under one of the beds was a dirty diaper. The outside had so many spiders, webs, spider eggs covering outdoor furniture doorways on side of house all eves. Large hornet nest attached to top eve of house. Wasps neat EVERYWHERE. One of the bedrooms that has a door leading to a deck had a wasp nest between the door and screen. The person who opened that door go strung several times on face and arms. A swing on the back porch/deck had a wasp nest underneath. Our elderly mother received multiple stings on her legs. The floating docks also cover with wasp nest so be sure to bring wasp spray for protection. Amenities clearly stated a kayak included on property but it was locked in garage. When questioned the owner he said “ you were able to bring your own . Sorry for the misunderatanding” Driveways are narrow so with larger vehicles turning around is challenging. Paperwork left for checkin stated welcome gift of drinks in fridge downstairs but there was none. The railing on the upper porch/deck was so loose we could not enjoy to views for fear of someone falling. Outside landscape also was overgrown.

Hi Debbie, we sincerely regret that this property didn't meet all of your expectations. As you know, we had routine washing of the entire exterior of the house (including insect nest removal) scheduled at the beginning of your stay, but unfortunately since you never responded to provide permission for us to be on property, we postponed the complete exterior washing until the day you checked out. We also leave wasp spray on the deck for summer guest use, since we understand it's impossible to ever completely prevent insects outdoors. We replaced the loose handrail post on the upper deck. Based upon your helpful feedback, we checked under all beds and confirmed there are absolutely no trash or towels. The driveways are all paved concrete 11+ feet wide (including down to the lakeshore) for ease of navigation and trailering of watercraft. All guest-accessible areas of the yard are routinely mowed and trimmed. However, since this property is in a peaceful outdoor setting, the unwalkable steep banks and wooded areas have a more natural appearance. We understand your disappointment regarding the kayak because the full Amenities list under kayak clearly states "Water access available. Guests provide own equipment.", but the VRBO-populated Popular Amenities list does not display this same verbiage. We would be happy to host you again on your next visit to East Tennessee.
