Perfect place close to Seward!
Publié le 7 sept. 2021 sur HotelsThe place was beautiful and very celan. We had a wonderful complimentary ice cream dessert before bed and breakfast was exceptional. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable stay
Publié le 13 juill. 2021 sur HotelsWe stayed for two nights in the tiehacker room with a bathroom in the room. It was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the ice cream bars at night were greatly appreciated. Unfortunately it rained during our stay so we did not use the lake but if the weather was better that would have been a blast.

Happy the reviewer made the most of their stay with us. The weather in Seward is very unpredictable and we suggest all Alaskan travelers be prepared for all possible conditions… specially rain in Seward. The right gear will get one through all the wonderful hikes, kayak touring, whale and fjord viewing cruises and much more offered in our small town. Thanks for writing a review and hope Alaska brings you back to visit again!

he best B &B in Alaska!
Publié le 20 juill. 2020 sur HotelsThere are tons of things to do right at the bed and breakfast. Canoeing, kayaking, watching bald eagles, seeing the salmon run are all right there. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and have binders full of restaurants in the area along with another binder with hiking trails. They are gracious enough to make you a copy of any hiking map you need.
The beds were very comfortable and our rooms were spacious. Breakfast was delicious! Also who can pass up a homage ice cream treat in the evening? Our family highly recommends Bear Lake Lodgings.

Great amenities and location
Publié le 22 juin 2020 sur HotelsPat and Dennis (and innkeeper Margie) made sure everything was clean, comfortable, and relaxed. The large house is located in a beautiful location, secluded but only a short drive from Seward.
Wish we‘d had time to partake of kayaking on the lake — and our booked activities left too early in the morning to partake of Margie’s home-cooked breakfasts, which sounded great. But she did make to-go breakfast/snack boxes for us, which was a nice touch and very appreciated.
An unexpected treat was that they served free hand-dipped (in chocolate and rolled in toppings) gourmet ice cream bars in the evenings, and even at the shack they run in Seward.
Great place for couples or families, just don’t do what we did... be sure to leave yourself some time to enjoy the breakfasts and the lake!

The setting is amazing!! Loved kayaking the lake and the gorgeous mountain views! Extra beds and space for the kids. Phenomenal breakfast!!
