This was our first experience of a dog friendly hotel and it was amazing to have the comfort and convenience of a hotel room whilst having our pet with us. As expected the room was basic but clean and spacious. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and the hotel is ideally situated for the dog friendly beach and other attractions such as Shanklin Chine. We didn’t see much of the entertainment but the ‘happy hour’ was very welcome!

If I’m honest I didn’t have high expectations when booking this hotel we only needed somewhere to sleep but it exceeded everything, we had a lovely little balcony area, a bath although it was a bit slow to run the room was spacious plenty of cupboards and drawers to store things I was pleasantly surprised, the only complaint is the tea was the worst tea I’ve ever had😂 but we didn’t get food or drinks so I couldn’t possibly comment on that but I couldn’t fault the experience we had if we were ever to go back to Shanklin I’d probably stay again, we loved the fact it was dog friendly too

AS soon as you step into hotel drabness hits you. .I booked a 'Deluxe' twin bedroom with view. To start with key cards would'nt work. When entry obtained to bedroom, confronted by 2 Military style metal framed beds with a matress thown on top. The toilet cistern continually ran. Spiders craling out beneath the rotten skirting boards in bathroom,which had acompact shower producing a dribble. Shocking hotel-never again

As expected was basic although some questionable stains on valance sheet and 1 curtain didnt close. Beds were very small but extremely comfortable
