Easy reach of Meadowhall
Publié le 14 juin 2015 sur ExpediaTook my son there as he had a gymnastics competition at the EIS Arena only 8 mins drive away. Only 10 minutes walk to shops. Perfect for our needs. Staff were helpful. Rooms basic but clean. Free wifi for 30 minutes but never used.

Pour : Staff, location, bed.
Emplacement : It is next to Meadowhall for shopping/eating and next to trams to Sheffield centre, the Arena etc.
We stayed here as we were attending an event at the nearby Sheffield Arena. The location is ideal as next to Meadowhall Interchange. The room was clean and the bed superb. The staff were extremely friendly.

Travelodge seem to have got their act together - pleasant surprise in improvement of room stanards.

Nice hotel close to meadowhall,
Publié le 7 oct. 2014 sur ExpediaHotel was nice and clean. Staff friendly. The bed was soooo uncomfortable which was not good as we didnt sleep well the duvet was way to thin felt morelike a sheet. In the morning we made a cuppa but it tasted awful it must have been down to the water. But apart from these issues everything else was fine.

Contre : The quality of the food
Emplacement : Right near Meadowhall Interchange. Not the most scenic place but handy for motorway, trains, trams and buses. 16 minute tram ride into Sheffield.
Helpful staff, great quiet room on top floor on the side away from the motorway. The bed was superb as I have come to expect at Travelodges! The only downside was the food. It's good that I could order food on site and it arrived quickly. It didn't really live up to expectations though. The piri-piri chicken was just slightly dried up chicken with no obvious flavour. The member of staff on duty in the morning was very helpful with local knowledge and travel and parking advice. Thanks! Will be back!

We booked a family room
Publié le 11 mai 2014 sur ExpediaWe booked a family room at this hotel. When we arrived we were told they didnot do family rooms at all in this hotel, they said we had booked a double room
They actually said we could not have 3 people in a room as it was not allowed, they said they would try and find another hotel with a family room we explained there was 14 of us staying at the same hotel
In fact the staff were a little cocky and abrupt until I produced a screen shot of my booking then there faces dropped and there attitudes changed and we had a camp bed added to the room big u turn on hotel policy when it was there fault
Will not be returning again to travel lodge
