Stay from May 30 to June 2 2024
Publié le 2 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayfor the most part the house was very clean and well stocked, beds were fairly comfortable, that's coming from some one who is spoiled to a termpur-pedic. The front steps were a little high for my 88 year old mom, the fans in the bedrooms were a nice touch and loved the recliners in the living room.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you found the house clean and well-stocked. It's great to know that you enjoyed the comfort of the beds, especially coming from a Tempur-Pedic user.
We appreciate your comments about the front steps and will keep that in mind for future guests, especially those with mobility concerns. We’re also pleased to hear that the fans and recliners added to your comfort during your stay.
Thank you for your insights, and we hope to welcome you back soon!

My daughter and I stayed in this 2-bedroom, 1-bath Shenandoah property during a chilly, rainy Parents' Day Weekend at JMU. We found the residence to be cozy, appealing, exceptionally clean, and amply supplied with extra bedding, pillows, throw blankets, and towels. After watching a football game in a cold, unrelenting rain, we were thrilled to return to our gas fireplace, hot shower, living room recliners, throw blankets, and TV streaming options. While we didn't have the time to play, the owners also outfitted the space with several board games and a cornhole set. While there was only a single bathroom, it was clean, modern, and the water -- as mentioned -- was hot. There was also a useful washer and dryer in the basement.
We loved the location, but it is worth noting that it is 33 minutes from JMU and 25 minutes from Valley Mall. But the nice aspect of this bit of distance is that one passes an array of restaurants, diners, coffee cafes, and ice cream shops driving from JMU to Shenandoah. Given the Parents' Weekend crowds in Harrisonburg, we were thrilled to get out of town and enjoy Italian at Mamma Mia's, a hearty breakfast at the Thunderbird Cafe, coffee at The Blue Elk and Brew Ha Ha, and ice cream at Kline's.
On a drier weekend, the area would have been fun to explore if one has a penchant for farms, foliage, rivers, wineries, breweries, and small-town independent shops. Next time!
