The perfect break
Publié le 25 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin is cosy and nicely appointed. The Fall colors on the river were lovely. You are close enough to several towns to satisfy any urge to “people” but the cabin offers quiet and solitude if you want it. I’ll keep it on my radar for a spring visit.

Great Stay by the River

Excellent stay at The River House
Publié le 14 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe tiny house is exactly as described. Its small, clean, cozy and comfortable. The location right on the river is fantastic. Being able to have a fire right by the water each night was such a plus. In better weather would be a great put in for canoeing, kataking. Very close many historic sights, unique shops, and outdoor activities. The hosts are very thoughtful, kind and responsive. We will be staying again!!

Splendid short snowy stay

The host was extremely helpful in digging me out when I got my car stuck in a snow bank almost immediately after arriving. The electric heater was already on and they'd shoveled out a spot for us to park. It was a little cold at first, but it was also about 18 degrees F outside. Once the gas heater was on and had some time to work, it was plenty warm. I love how downtown was about 5 minutes away, but the property was still in a very mellow, calm neighborhood with a great view of the river and plenty of space between houses.
