Nice location and very accessible. AC did not work and refrigerator was not working. That was replaced and a fan was brought in to help with lack of AC for whatever reason.

Big room, shopping mall downstairs

At the city centre, very convenient. There’s a shopping mall right downstairs, no need to worry about finding food to eat. Room is big.

One of the best hotels in China

I travel the world, and I stay as much as I can at IHG holiday inns. The one in shijiazhuang is one of my favorite. This three stay is for my niece Ni, who teaches near the city. She insisted that I write a good review for her since she enjoyed the stay enormously, she especially wants me to thank the housekeeping lady Ms. 王淑爽, Ms. Wong was kind and friendly and took very good care of my niece, so, I’d like to thank her for it.

I wish it'd be better.

I am very fond of this holiday inn, I always reserve this hotel when I visit shijiazhuang , and I made numerous reservations for my daughter as well when she has business in the city. It had pleased me all these years. However, this time it disappointed me, on the second day of the stay, there's no water, the hotel gave me a key card for another room to do the clean up, yet, there's no hot water, and the day when I checked out, there's still no hot water, and when I turn on the hot water faucet, the water came out brown. I was hoping the hotel would offer some type of compensation but to no avail. I use holiday inn hotels almost any where I go around the world, this is the first time I encountered the less than satisfactory experience.

The staff asked me to leave this hotel earlier !!

Overall very good hotel. A little lower standard than other Holliday Inn but good. Breakfast is 5 stars. But my stay was ruined this morning when around 10:30 AM the reception called my room and very nervously asked me to checkout immediately because they already checked in someone else minutes ago ( !!!!). I was scared and told them that was impossible to happens and to leave the room so quickly also impossible. The check out time is 12:00. Then she said that because the guests are from government I must obey and leave asap. I was more scared (afraid to be arrested or something) but insisted because it was really impossible to leave so quickly and finally they understood could stay until the checkout time. But when I opened my door to leave there was a policeman starring me and I was scared once again.During checkout the I asked to talk with the manager and complained and she apologized. So I advise everyone that stay in this hotel to upon check in ask of there is some event of government planned and if the foreign guest will be forced to leave earlier (!!!) Otherwise no one will tell you before and I and this situation could repeat with you.If they explained me this situation upon check-in, and maybe offer some compensation for the inconvenience (could be a free drink,etc) I will be able to cooperate. But 10:30 just after breakfast, without a shower and with all my belongings not ready yet how could I leave immediately as they DEMANDED ? Ruined the stay.
