Room Not as Reserved and No working Wifi.

Contre : Stop false advertising, stop overcharging customers for rooms that are not available. If your wifi does not work, don't advertise it.
I reserved their Super Deluxe room through Expedia customer service. The Super Deluxe room was supposed to have two beds, however, when I check-in, the room that was given to me only had one bed and looked nothing like in the pictures posted on Expedia.
On top of that, their Wifi was not working, and when I mentioned to them, they could not care less. This was very annoying because I had to use my international roaming to browse which can get expensive. I've complained to Expedia and it was been more than 3 weeks, but no one cares.

Excellent hotel- Hard to find the entrance
Publié le 24 janv. 2015 sur HotelsThe hotel is in excellent location since it is on the top of the hill. But the road to the hotel from the main road is a dirt road which is very hard to find. We missed two times to find the road. We also found the other drivers had the same problem of finding this little hidden road.Management needs to improve the sign on the road. Otherwise the hotel was excellent in all respect

Pour : We had one of the worst experience of Fairmount Hotel. I think the name of the hotel should be changed to "UNFAIRMOUNT"
We stayed in Fairmount hotel for 3 days with my family. I booked deluxe room in advance to view trip adviser rating. But hotel room, services , cleanness not up to mark not even like a ordinary single star hotels.
Room was so small, bed sheet uncleaned when i requested to hotel manager change the room they told no deluxe room is vacant now and for super deluxe room pay extra 1000 INR per night.
Mall road 2 to 4 km from hotel.
We had booked 1 delux rooms through expedia & stayed there June 2014 but we had very very bad experience. We had booked well in advance in June & paid 100% amount to expedia, but to our surprise when we checked in, very small room. The person at the reception was totally non co-operative & was also very very very very very rude in his behavior. The conditions of room was very bad, there was leakages in the walls, the windows were not closing. The clarity in the Led tv was hopeless. All this I complained to receptionist, but I think it was going in deaf ears. Next morning in the buffet breakfast there was no bread along with eggs, for which when I asked the staff, the reaction from them was that I was demanding something extra ordinary. Although they provided bread but without butter, even after requesting them for butter. they told that it was not in the menu.

1st experience of hotels.com was pathetic
Publié le 18 juin 2014 sur HotelsBooking was confirmed by Hotels.com at Fairmount Hotel at shimla but harassed as there was no room available in that particular hotel.When contacted the hotel Authorities they confirmed the booking but diverted the same to some other hotel.The experience of Hotels.com was pathetic as I'm still awaiting my refund.No official communication for the refund as of now.Really annoyed by Hotels.com

This hotel ended up to be the best one of those offered in Shimla. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the main city and was a quiet place to stay.

Publié le 22 mai 2014 sur ExpediaWorst experience from this hotel. What rooms were shown in the net, it was totally different, very small & congested. Behaviour of hotel staff very rude. No butter toast/ bread butter in breakfast. If any thing we demaned like bread butter in breakfast, the attitude was like that we were asking great favour. Worst part was on checkout when the receptionist Ms Isha wasted our one hour as she was demanding Rs 3400 extra for taxes inspite of showing her booking voucher that full amount has already been paid directly to Expedia then also unnecessary arguements. Finally spoken with Mr Chetan of Expedia who co-operated very well & with his instructions we were able to do check out without paying any extra charges for taxes. I think you should de-list this hotel as this will spoil name of Expedia.

Pour : Nice location but 8 km from the train station. My room was big with a lovely mountain view which could mean you wake up with a monkey by your window
Contre : The shower and toilet whilst functional were a bit worn and everything gets wet in the shower as there is no shower curtain.
Emplacement : The hotel is approximately 8 km from the train station and 13 km from the new bus station. it is up a steep hill
We stayed for 2 nights in March 2014. It was the most we paid for a hotel with the worst bathroom facilities. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive and there was a good buffet breakfast and the restaurant food was excellent.

We booked 2 rooms for 31st December 2013 at hotel Fairmount Shimla. My Itinerary number was 11174554765, I have the email with confirmation guaranteeing the rooms. A total of Rs.8524.14 was debited from my credit card account as full payment for the two rooms. When we reached Shimla the hotel did not honor the reservation.
We were on road for 6 hours, had paid the taxi Rs 4000 extra to hunt for different hotels. We faced embarrassment and suffered mental torture on New years Eve. I called Expedia customer service and the lodging at least 10 times and they kept on placing me on hold and said they will get back to me but never did.
I had to book another hotel after hunting for 7 hours and at a very high rate. My family and my sisters family were stranded on road for many hours.
The call reference number given to me was S66764975, but no one provided me any resolution. I need to be compensated for all the inconvenience and embarrassment I faced.
