The Real Feel of Shimla

Pour : The people, especially the owners who live in the hotel.
Contre : Monkeys. But they're all over Shimla
Emplacement : It's a 30 minute walk to the center of the town on a road where vehicles are not allowed except in the evening when the government people come through
Great hotel with a large room, dressing room and big bathroom. Could walk outside the room onto the lawn where we had a view of the town below and the mountains above.

Charming old hotel

The room was huge with a nice view and plenty of original features from its life as a colonial mansion. Excellent breakfast and good service. It was very clean, though a bit of paint here and there wouldn't go amiss.

Make sure you get the right room

Pour : Nice little garden and a good view.
Hotel is perfectly far from the main town which is over crowded and clogged with cars.
Most of the rooms have a nice view and also have balconies.
Unfortunately the room we got was the smallest room in the hotel and also had no view at all.
Tariff for all rooms is the same.
So please call and find out what they are offering you.

Pour : Staff behavior.
Contre : Preparation of food. It was very oily. Need to improve breakfast spread & food quality as people go to hill station for relaxation & good food.
Emplacement : Exceellent
We enjoyed stay. A little improvement is needed in managing the operations like breakfast spread & menu for dinner. There is need to improve ambience at enterance as passage is rough.These are a few suggestions otherwise staff attitude is exceellent particularly Parkash. I missed Mr. Pankaj Gera as there was demise in his family.

A good hotel in a heritage building.
Publié le 31 mai 2014 sur ExpediaNice comfortable n peaceful stay. Spacious rooms neatly decorated. No steep stairs like in other hotels. Good food. Staff very helpful n courteous. Would prefer to stay there whenever visit again in future.
