Cozy and quiet

Dock was down a fairly steep hill, a little more than 100 yards
Publié le 13 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayBut other that that we had a great time fishing, exploring the Amish community, and all there wonderful shops. Attended a concert at the Blue Gate center, it was wonderful. Ate to much, and enjoyed relaxing, and spending some time in the jacuzzi

Hidden Oasis
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOnly a couple hours away from Chicago, this home allows you to unplug and unwind. The home has everything you need, tucked inbetween farmland and the woods. We explored Shipshewana during the day, went fishing at dusk, sat by the fire when the sun went down and finished the day with a relaxing dip in the huge hot tub. It was great!

Awesome, quiet and peaceful
Publié le 20 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was so clean and cozy. There were so many personal touches to it. We had storms the first two nights. The electricity went out, but wasn't out more than 2 hours. The hot tub is so clean and was a wonderful addition.

Peaceful Cabin Great View
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOld college friends meeting up once a year for antiquing, no cooking, no husbands and lots of conversation. We enjoyed a two night stay. Plenty of space for 2. Each of us had our own bed and full bath (up bath is a shower only). One of each on the main floor and in the basement. Minimal but nice decor. Wished we brought binoculars. Pretty view of the lake. A decent walk to the dock. Mown path. A killer climb back up if you have sciatica and bad knees. We didnt spend much time in the back. However a great sapce for kids to play, fishing off the dock and just relaxing watching the flock of swans that resides at the lake. The cabin has a nice deck, plenty of seating. The area is really beautiful. Pristine Amish farms, way more horses than people! Practice patience while driving in this area, especially on friday night. It was a show of lit up buggies, horses and Amish families. Very busy on the roadways that night. Is this where the saying "Friday go to meetin..." came from? Lots to see and do in the area. Highly recommend this location and cabin on Lake Shipshewana. Thank you for sharing your comfy cottage!
