Trip to Long Island

The property could use some TLC. The lawn wasn't mowed, that could be that the gardener wasn't scheduled during our visit. They need to have more towels, there was a minimal amount. we also had to wash dirty pans that were put back without being properly cleaned. Pro: The property owner provided a parking pass at Smiths Point beach which was a plus. That saved us $9. Great beach to visit just 10 minutes away. Overall we were pleased with our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

No sheets on twin beds. Shower on main level leaks. Limited towels available. No wash clothes. Misleading ad on pricing. Owner pounded on door at 10 am when checkout was 11am. Terrible communication, no responses to emails. After telling the owner checkout was 11am per my reservation she paced the front yard, then left and came back at 10:30am sitting in car in front of the house. Owner lied about additional fees for guests when I called her. Interior not maintained, needs paint everywhere. Discolored walls. Refrigerator rusted. Roaches seen in the kitchen. Drawer handles missing. A/C not in one bedroom. I have used VRBO for years and never had this type of experience. VRBO called the owner and told her she needed to contact us about additional charges and no reply over a week later. Do not stay here!

DO NOT waste your money on this Property

Old and tired furniture, circa 1970. while it was moderately clean inside, outside sitting areas were not clean or maintenance (I'm not talking a some pollen or dirt, the yard and sitting area has not been cleaned or maintained in years) no towels!, house in severe disrepair & dangerous (I have pictures ). What repairs were done were sloppy and unprofessional. Refrigerator was rusted, A/C smelled of mold in main bedroom other bedroom had fan only. 1 a/c unit in bedroom other bedroom fan only. Complete misrepresentation, I wouldn't stay her for free. I left within 30 minutes of my arrival and checked into a hotel. Owner refusing my refund. Highly disappointed in Vrbo for not vetting property and lack of assistance with obtaining refund. More than two weeks and multiple calls and emails later and I'm still waiting from a response from Vrbo. Zero Stars

I gave receipts from HOME DEPOT, landscaping company and cleaning ladies from that day… and I was there with the whole crew CLEANING MY HOUSE ON THE DAY OF YOUR ARRIVAL. This property is very clean and private. Great care has been taken to make sure that the property is surrounded by beautiful hedges and flowers. It is a bird sanctuary as well providing a home to many bird species. The air conditioner did not work and never turned on. Otherwise, this was a sweet, quaint, beautiful place to stay.
