Un séjour inoubliable

Un très bel hôtel à la décoration soignée, très confortable et à taille humaine qui a de surcroît l’avanrage de par son emplacement un peu en retrait du boulevard principal d’être au calme (presque un luxe à Siem Reap). Nous avons été accueillis par un personnel particulièrement souriant et disponible, bref aux petits soins, que ce soit pour nous renseigner sur les visites et commodités, organiser un massage,effectuer des réservations ou même pour combler agréablement le temps en attendant le départ vers l’aeroport. Nous repartons donc enchantés de notre séjour.

Hôtel merveilleux

Excellent hôtel, personnel très aimable, grandes chambres, attention très personnalisée car seulement 10 chambres. Repas très bons et petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. L’ensemble fait un établissement et un séjour inoubliable

Lovely hotel, super clean and tastefully decorated. Great atmosphere and super quiet. Away from the crowd yet very easy to reach.

Liars and Thieves - False Ads, Do Not Believe

The owners are LIARS and THIEVES. I made reservations over two months in advance, based on pictures and descriptions of the family suite. Without even acknowledging it much less warning me, they checked me into a far inferior room. When I confronted them with my receipt that contained the details, they offered a free dinner. They didn't offer a price to match the room. I said this was unacceptable. They claimed to no longer have my room because it was under renovations (again, they could have told me earlier). They then said they wouldn't charge me if I decided to stay at another hotel. They helped me book another hotel in the area. But then they never gave me back my money. Do not believe the pictures and the description. This hotel is located off the main road, BEHIND A DARK UNPAVED ALLEY. The bathroom for the room they gave me looks like a prison cell. It's dark slate grey, slippery floor, and poor lighting. The room itself is also weird, with very little natural light. It gives it an overall institutional feel. To call this place a "luxury hotel" is a misnomer. When I saw the pictures and description and the price, I thought it was almost too good to be true. And it was indeed too good to be true. In this case, you get less than what you even pay for. Management is also aggressive in trying to get you to open your wallet. The first thing they do is try to get you to book activities with them for every single day and time for your stay. And their restaurant is overpriced.

This place had nothing to offer us when we try to check in. They state they were doing renovations, and we were not able to check in. They took us to anothers hotel and say it was the same thing. Just because it has the bed that we need, doesn't justify that it was the same thing. There was no gym, wifi was horrible. On top of that it was more of downgrade. We pay more and expected a better place, that why we paid more. I will never go back to that hotel.

A sheep in sheeps clothing.

On paper, this should have been a spectacular hotel. Indeed the ride in from the airport passes some fabulous looking hotels that would not look out of place in Miami Beach. The first clue should have been the taxi they sent to collect us. It was a Tuk Tuk; so our luggage was precariously balanced on the tow bar and off we went. It quickly became obvious that the description was misleading. Firstly it is on an unpaved backstreet with no passing traffic, so they have to call a Tuk Tuk for every journey. The property is undergoing extreme re-modelling (as of July 2019). The pool is closed (although they offered us a ride to a nearby hotel) and there are heavy engineering works going on all over the place. Our room (101) was recently refurbished and was a triumph of style over practicality. A fabulous Swedish style bed, but with a dark wood surround led to barked shins. Poor water pressure that meant that the bath took 20 minutes to fill to 10 cms with tepid water. A rain shower with no cubicle so it was freezing because of the aircon (which was about the only thing that is highly efficient). Eco friendly shower gel etc but delivered in stone jars which meant that one uses 5 times the amount and is in constant fear that they will fall and shatter. And a breakfast that is slow to deliver and mean in quantity. And why didn't they refresh the toilet paper and soap. Either poor management or a property in severe trouble. My advice? Pay more, stay elsewhere.
