Publié le 23 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayLocation of this place is outstanding, a nice easy walk into the center of the historical area and to a small nearby food market. The apartment is nicely furnished with primarily antiques, spacious and welcoming, though a bit musty smelling. Bathrooms were updated and very clean. We continuously had problems with the Wi-Fi service, and though the owner was promptly responsive in regard to checking in and out there was zero response to our Wi-Fi questions. A heads up that parking is more challenging than presented - we were there during the off season so I can’t imagine what it would be like in season. To not have a car would be preferable.

Dear Jennifer, wifi functioned and I answered to you per mail but you didn't get back to me. A great leak of communication, I must say. About parking, sometimes it's not so easy to find a place, that's right, but it doesn't depend on the season: in summer there are more places because the inhabitants are on holiday and don't need to park at home. But we've been in Siena some days before you and found always a place in front of the house. Sorry to hear you didn't. Also the guests before you didn't complain about not running wifi and we've a remote controle: the router was perfectly functioning. So, it's amity you gave us only 4 stars without contacting us again. And no: the apartment doesn't smell. The old wooden furniture has a own perfume. Sorry you didn't like it. I suggest you look for a brand new modern home next time, without flair.

Apartment with a view in Sienna.
Publié le 30 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a lovely property with wonderful views. It is far outside of the city center where we wanted to spend our time. Parking/driving is very tricky so we used cabs. The cabs were very easy to get. Owners left lots of good information for us at the apartment.

Thank you for your nice review. I would just like to point out that the distance of the apartment from the historic center cannot be defined with “far away”: from our house to San Domenico, the church at the beginning of the historic center of Siena, it does not take more than 10 minutes walking, 15 going very slowly. I go from home to the Duomo in maximum 20 minutes, but these are times for people used to walking, as is normal in Siena, a city where you go faster on foot than by car... Those who want to avoid the little climb to the historic center only have to take the bus (which stops in front of the house) and in one stop they are effortlessly in the center... The advantage of our home is that you live in a quiet residential area and still can do everything on foot: grocery shopping, visits to monuments, an evening at a restaurant...

A Beautiful Siena Getaway

Alessandra was super helpful in getting us settled and quick to respond to any queries. The location was great as a short walk to the historic center of Siena, also to a cafe with yummy coffee and pastries [up the steps from the public parking] and to a small grocery store with everything you may need. The only issue we experienced during our stay was parking our rental as street spots were rare as were ones in the large public lot minutes away [in particular over the weekend]. Aside from that the place was perfect and Siena is such a pretty city with the most beautiful Duomo I have ever visited [apart from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome]. Highly recommend !

grazie per la vostra bella recensione. Purtroppo non posso dire la stessa cosa della mia recensione, in quanto voi personalmente siete persone molto carine, ma avete lasciato la casa in uno stato catastrofico. La mia donna, Laura, si è messa a piangere quando ha visto gli asciugamani sporchissimi in fondo alla vasca tutti bagnati, il lavello della cucina davvero lurido e tutto il resto che non sto a descrivere. Per questo motivo chiederò un rimborso per pulizie intensive. Mi dispiace, ma questa è casa mia, e non un albergo, e sentire che è stata lasciata così in malo stato mi dispiace personalmente. Inoltre con il phon avete rischiato l'incendio. Quando ho visto la foto che mi ha mandato Laura mi è venuto uno shock, come potete lasciare un phon dentro una scarpa e lasciarlo surriscaldare in quel modo? è vero che mi avete lasciato un piccolo importo per ricomprarlo, ma davvero avete rischiato di incendiarmi la casa, una cosa mai vista prima... Peccato. Vi auguro comunque un buon rientro a casa. Alessandra

Beautiful Apartment!
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLooking at the outside of this apartment building, you would never know what hidden gem is awaiting on the inside. This apartment was not only huge, but gorgeous! From the marble floors and antiques to the incredible view of Siena, we were in awe. There was a lot of love and care put into this home. The kitchen was well stocked and functional. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. It is about a 15 minute walk to the medieval town but it's a scenic one. My only complaints are that the bed was VERY hard & uncomfortable and the antique living room chairs/couches were not ones we could really relax on. When we visit Siena again, I hope to stay in this beautiful apartment again.

Yes, the building is not "representative", but the inner life is what makes the apartment so special... about the bed and chairs and couch, sorry you felt uncomfortable, other guests love exactly the bed because of the very good matrass... chairs and couch are also very ergonomic, but not soft like modern furniture. Unfortunately, we cannot match each gusto... however is it good to hear you would come again to us, if you visit Siena again. We'd like to welcome you! Bye Alessandra

Excellent accommodations

Communication with our host was excellent. We highly recommend this property and would stay again if visiting Sienna in the future.

Publié le 26 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe photos from the balcony are 100 % true! Fabulous setting to end your day with a bottle of wine. Super outfitted kitchen, great to cook in if you are a foodie. Big spacious rooms. We stayed long enough to learn the pathways into the city centre walking. Great stay , loved it.

Everyone at the property was super accommodating and was helpful in getting checked in and acclimated to Siena. Would recommend to others and hope to stay there again!
