Silver Star Ski Getaway
Publié le 30 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayGood location, only a few steps to ski-in/ski-out, place was clean and had everything expected for kitchen gadgets, etc. Lots of room and open space. Driveway is a little tricky to back out of onto the main road.

Amazing ski-in & out right on a skiway

A nice clean cozy apartment close to the trails
Publié le 31 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed there for a week in January 2024. Everything from communication and check-in to the apartment contents and location was great. Karen and Phil were very responsive. All our requests got accommodated quickly.
The condo itself felt like home. Everything we needed was available, nicely thought of by the owners for the convenience of their guests. Just keep in mind that the hot tub is really only for two adults. When a third one tries to get in the water spills over. We talked to the tub service guys who showed up every morning, asked them why they overfilled the tub, and they told us that it was a normal water level for a 2-person tub.
Skiing in to the slopes was simple and quite easy except for some short steep climb behind the building right onto the trail on top of the ski bridge. Once on the trail, put on your skis/board, slide down across the bridge, and in another 100 metres or so you'll see the top of Silver Woods Express chair on your right. From there, take either Aberdeen Skiway (green run) or just ski down under the chairlift (Roller Coaster blue run) until you hit Aberdeen crossing at 90 degrees. Take Aberdeen Skiway to the left, and after an easy short slide you get to the base of Comet Express 6-chair, the main lift of the resort, around which the majority of the popular runs are located. Skiing out of the slopes back to the apartment is a bit more complex, but still doesn't require any walking.

Great winter get away
Publié le 7 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was everything we hoped and expected. Hosts were very quick to respond to any questions. Loved the ski in/out convenience and a short walk to the town site. Parking is a bit tight but doable.

New Years Stay

Easy to cook in, great to have a washer and dryer. Nice storage/ski area for all your gear. Awesome location with ski in and out access. The hosts were very responsive.

What a great spot

The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and the mudroom was super convenient to stash all of our gear in. The only issue we had was that the guests in the upstairs unit liked to stay up late in the room above the master bedroom, and I had to ask them a couple of times to keep it down. Very thin insulation between those two units. But our kids didn't hear a thing in the bunk room, which was good!

Love the wax room
Publié le 17 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayUnfortunately the snow didn't cooperate, but the condo was great. We used the wax room several times. I would have appreciated a usable closet in the bunk bed room (the laundry is in the closet and it was a slight but not major inconvenience).
