Riviera Beach

The property is as advertised, and the location is ground floor. Its not quite on the beach, its one level above, which is fine. The owner is extremely attentive, and needed to be to address a few issues, which he immediately did. The room is large, but the owner has quite a bit of oversized furniture in it. The owner is well intentioned of course, but is no dresser so both my wife and I piled clothing on the floor. There is a small, short closet in the bathroom, so her dresses were bunched up at the bottom. The place could use an armoir that houses both the TV and has clothing storage. There is a small kitchenette which is useful, but the owner added a second refrigerator which did not help the space issues. IN addition, the shower head is one of those hand helds, and at 6" tall, I am bent over to get water, whose pressure is just ok. Overall, the location is great, the accommodations are very nice, the staff is helpful, there is parking, the restaurant is just ok (but for a poolside lunch it will do), there is a mini mall next door with some bars/restaurants and shops. If the owner addresses the furniture issue, the place would be great. He might want to consider a taller shower head as well. Great gym, chairs at the beach are free and there is an attentive pool and beach person. The complex is easy to get to, on the southern most part of the island, right over the bridge. Its a Ritz, so its tastefully appointed and spotless, as are the grounds. Overall we had a nice stay.

Shoebox on the rump end of Ritz

If you like a shoebox that’s convenient to the beach, pool and gym then this is your place. Like a small hotel room, but at the Ritz Residence, which unlike a hotel, has no room service or restaurant or spa or cleaning service. Heah there is free coffee in the lobby, but no where to have breakfast without having to get in your car, and the coffee runs out at 7:45am. The unit is on the ground level, next to the elevator where you can hear the dinging of the elevator, the constant musak playing and a lot chatter all hours if the day and night. The hot water on the sink doesn’t work, and the blinds have come down so the sun comes streaming in on your face at 6am. The owner is too cheap to pay for two access cards so you'll have to share! Same with a parking space of which none is available for that unit. The Lutron ac control is set to revert to 78 degrees, to which it conveniently does while your sleeping. We really enjoyed the luxurious lounge chairs from which we could stare at the cement dividing wall or the cement top of the bungalows below. I think the Ritz should have made this a utility closet at the bottom of the elevator on the ground floor.

absolutely perfect

everything was better than we could have expected. room was spacious yet cozy, clean as can be, perfect location, first floor walked right out to pool and beach, the Ritz is fabulous. everything was perfect .Ted our host was accessible and answered any questions we had immediately. honestly cant wait to go back. Thank you again Ted for a fantastic vacation !!!
