Ok hostel, great location
Publié le 1 mai 2024 sur HotelsOk hostel located in the basement of a hotel called koka. Note that the reception is the same as the hotel and have no signs. I stayed in the female shared dorm.
Pros:
Very friendly and helpful staff. Can't say this enough. All of them were great.
Big bed
A curtain for privacy
Lots of space for luggage
Extremely central
Cons:
Bad smell
Difficult to find (if you don't know to go to Hotel Koka)
A little messy, just random stuff around like big wall tiles, an empty aquarium, tables in the bathroom.
People smoking inside even when there's 'no smoking' signs.
Not a typical hostel vibe
If I were to recommend easy things to fox I would say : remove unnecessary stuff, put handles on the doors to the bathroom, the dorrs for the toilet and showers. And keep being the serviceminded and friendly people you are. I might come back for this ❤️

My main concern was that the hostel is located in a basement with no windows and only one staircase at the far end so no sufficient exits in the event of a fire or earthquake etc. there was also a random cat wandering around and it would sleep on the beds
