Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThere were bugs in the house, towels were torn and old, house was outdated and old, not well kept. Location was convenient but wouldn't stay here again.

They messed the house really bad & my backyard too that I had to pay extra money to my cleaner. When he was in house says what a beautiful house, its written in VRBO communication too.Had instructions to close down lights, AC etc, when they leave in VRBO, looks like nothing they checked. They did not follow anything. Will not entertain next time. Thank you.

Weekend stay

The house/property has a lot of potential but appears to have been seriously neglected as far as maintenance and upkeep. The outdoor space could be very nice but has not been cleaned at all recenently. There was debris, leaves, pollen, pineneedles, weeds everywhere, lawn has not been mowed recently, garbage was overflowing when we arrived and someone had left dirty diapers in a cardboard box in the garage that did not smell pleasant. If someone spent a little time cleaning up the outside space it would go a long ways. I had to reach out for check in and check out instructions as I hadn’t heard anything, the host was fairly quick to respond though after I messaged them. The group consensus was we would not stay there again unless someone did some serious cleanup.

Extremely disappointing
Publié le 20 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family came from out of state to rent this home in celebration of my daughter’s college graduation. We pulled in and there was overflowing garbage bins in the driveway, the grass had not been cut in a while. The access notes were incorrect so we had to wait for a call back from the owner on how we could enter the home. The inside of the home was filthy, the beds weren’t made so unfortunately we saw the condition of the mattresses and pillows (unsanitary to say the least). There were no serving utensils , grill utensils or paper towels. The back yard was a hay field along with beer cans all over so we couldn’t enjoy it at all. Between the conditions of the front and back yards, we were unable to take family pictures with the graduate.
The toilets were broken so the water ran constantly. The primary suite had ants crawling all over the walls and floor. We chose this home because of the pictures and description of the backyard. But it actually looked like an abandoned home.
I contacted the owner when checking out and expressed our concerns and she never responded. I was hoping she could make up for the terrible experience before I had to write up this review.

This customer was a huge disappointment. They messed my house, toilets etc. Still I am paying to fix what they have ruined. She sent me a message before almost a blackmail that she will write a bad review. Home owners should never rent people like this. A disaster customer. She was just one bad apple.

Publié le 23 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayLocation was perfect when visiting my kid at SUNY Albany. Located in a safe neighborhood, house had Plenty of room, and backyard is beautiful. Would recommend putting a streaming device, a toaster, and some silverware there for guests but other than that it has everything needed.

This home needs plenty of TLC
Publié le 5 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe booked this home for a weekend outing with friends. The location is perfect for access to the Erie Canal bike trails. Although the home is large and comfortable, we were disappointed by a number of short comings we discovered during our stay. The inside of the home was not at all clean, dirty dishes left in dishwasher. Kitchen, bathrooms and general cleanliness were not at all what we have come to expect from a VRBO property. Kitchen sink faucet did not operate using “touch” feature (probably dead batteries). The stove did not operate at all, upon closer inspection, we discovered the gas line had been disconnected, and a notice from the local gas company was affixed to the stove, describing “gas leak”. Smoke detectors in main hallway and bedroom are missing. Large coffee pot did not operate, so we had to use a small 4 cup coffee maker, to service 8 guests! Screens on windows and doors have huge holes, forcing us to keep windows closed and use AC. Exterior of property needs to be cleaned up, barbecue grill was not cleaned, shrubs and plantings are all overgrown.

Very Nice Accommodations
Publié le 24 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house is gorgeous, but a little outdated. For our purposes, we were there for a hockey tournament and the space and location could not be beat. The owners were really responsive when the toilet was clogged and had someone out to fix it for us. There were some things that were forgotten (dishes left in the dishwasher when we arrived). We didn't really use the kitchen so it wasn't a huge deal. The sheets were also a little small for the beds. But overall we were comfortable and really appreciated being allowed to stay in this home. Thank you!
