A Piece of Heaven
Publié le 13 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our time and stay at River RV. It was so peaceful and quite. Our host Curtis was very friendly and helpful. The RV was well stocked, clean and had everything you needed to feel and be comfortable. The scene from the RV to the river was beautiful, mowed and well kept. We enjoyed the sounds of birds, and the neighborhood was so peaceful, and only a few minuets from town. We were able to go and visit Bastrop Park and Lake, as well as Buschers Park and fish on the Colorado river. I reccomend River RV for anyone needing to get away for some quite and serene time. Thankyou Curtis for an adventure we will always remember, and hope to come back one day soon. Gary and Dottie.

Riverside Oasis
Publié le 16 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was selected on a whim for a quick overnight weekend getaway. Could not have picked a better spot. This place is a perfect quaint and quiet spot nestled right outside of downtown Smithville. Check in was a breeze, place was spotless. Everything you need is there and lots of extra goodies.
The river was actually in better shape than I expected, fished the Colorado River my entire life. Our kids did not catch anything…but that’s fishing.
We had such great experience and will absolutely be back.
I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.
One thing I will note, we have 6 year old and a 9 year old. We brought a tent along, sleeping arrangements for a family of (4) are a little tight, but totally doable. The table turns into a bed at the dining area.
