The advert said free breakfast; it was actually coffee and danish only. That was a bit disappointing.

Hello Richard and thank you for staying with us here at Smoketown Inn. Just to clarify, on our website we clearly list what is included in the continental breakfast: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pastry and yogurt. We will try to check with other entities that who book rooms on our behalf, as we have found other info. that was not correct and we will do our best to reflect most accurately what our Inn offers. The room had a musty smell. I can’t say much about the breakfast. It was in a good location.

I would have given this stay 5 stars because it is by far the cleanest property I have ever stayed at! For the price the basic breakfast and lack of amenities was expected. I would recommend the owners up the price by even $10 so they can update the mattress and the bathroom towels. If you like a firm mattress and rough towels these two things will not bother you but again for the price not a bad stay at all!

May I address your comments by mentioning the fact that the mattresses are firm, is precisely because we do replace the mattresses, old mattresses tend to be spongey. As far as the towels, it is a towel, did it remove the water from your body after a shower? Then it did what it was intended to do. The softness and firmness you refer to are subjective comments.Mike

They are in a safe area but the room should have a deadbolt that the customer has the key.
