Lovely!! 3 generation family stay
Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat kitchen with everything you could want. Space is great, plenty of room for anyone needing to "settle down." Good mattresses, lots of TV's-not that there is time for that! Summer fun all around.

Annual family ski trip-Dec 2023
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing stay! The house was exactly as pictured. The first day it rained but we still had a great time. We loved the shuttle! It made it easy for everyone to do their own thing at their own pace. The owners were very easy to work with. I loved all the information they provided ahead of time. We had never been to Snowshoe but we will return. Thank you!

Family Stay Before the Holidays

The mountain was closed down, getting ready to start their snow ski ski season, but it was a very quiet relaxing weekend due to that. Location of the house is great. if you were there to ski absolutely perfect location. The house was clean. and ready for us when we arrived. Could use a little updating but a beautiful home.

A great experience
Publié le 2 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThought I’d take a chance on this house since it has good ratings on other sites. Certainly seems the host has all the issues from last winter taken care of. The house was very clean and the fridge worked fine. The hot tub was great for a cool night after riding. Proximity to the western territory trails was super convenient. Plenty of parking for our group of 10 and plenty of lounging space around the house. Wifi is fast and reliable. The shuttle showed up in about 5 minutes any time we called and runs till 2am, so no designated driver required! Ashley was easy to reach and gave us a ton of good information before we got there. Overall we had a great time and are seriously considering this house as our annual winter vacation spot!

Not What we paid for
Publié le 3 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is in need of serious sprucing up -- the place smelled like smoke when we arrived and it has a dirty feel about it. Too many people have visited and left their smudges and stains. The refrigerator was warm and the kitchen faucet was missing parts (literally it's parts were on the windowsill). The owner sent maintenance over to look at the fridge at the end of 2nd day and it was determined that not a lot could be done with the refrigerator but luckily it was cold enough outside that we could keep things on the porch. Our bedroom chest of drawers fell out when you opened them so no using them. The shower on the first floor leaked onto the floor. We made it work but in general - when you rent a high-end place, you don't expect these problems. The owner knew we were upset but insisted it looked like the pictures. Place needs a good cleaning, paint job and some new appliances, and repairs. It takes about 5-10 mins to walk to the slopes (which is a black diamond) but we were fine with that. The view is lovely.

We regret William had this experience. The property is now under new management and we care deeply about each guest who visits with us. We have repaired or replaced all the appliances and furniture William identified as faulty. We have also hired a new cleaning contractor that is doing an excellent job with the house. We trust these measures will ensure future guests have a great experience in keeping with the history of this lovely property.

Rough
Publié le 16 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayArrived about 10 minutes prior to check in time of 4. Cleaning guy was still working. No problem. Finally about 425 he said he had done all he could do and would be back with toilet paper and soaps that he forgot. After notifying owner the following morning someone finally brought toilet paper and some dishwashing soap later that day.
Place was still very dirty. Furniture out of place. Dog crap all over the yard. Downstairs bedroom bath smelled like wet dog and cat litter.
The house needs a lot of TLC. Layout is fine. Hot tub was very dirty. If they at least had some chemicals for us to throw in that would have made it work. Main level TV did not work. Fridge light was not working.
Overall the house has clearly been used hard. We were only there for 3 night so I really did not want to get involved in complaining too much and spending all our time dealing with that. Owner does communicate quickly I will say, but really none of this stuff should have been an issue.
We are people that have rented our high end vacation home and I know there is NO way anyone working for us would have left our house in this condition.

We appreciate Robert's honest feedback. Chamonix Chalet is under new management, and we have hired a new cleaning company that is doing a much better job. We hope our guests will never be afraid of “complaining too much.” Nothing is more important to us than your experience at our home.
