Here you will find a lovingly restored, typical Swedish house from 1909!
The renovation was completed in 2023, so guests are now welcome!
The house is located between Djursdala and Locknevi on a small road with very little traffic.
It's a 10-minute walk to the lake, a 20-minute walk to the rowing boat (see picture!), which can be used. You can also drive there by car. In addition to the rowing boat, there are also two kayaks! However, these have to be transported from the shed to the lake and back. No problem with a roof rack and lashing straps.
In summer you can use the large garden - it is a total of 3,200 square meters. A terrace, garden furniture, a fire pit and a grill are waiting for you! The garden area is fenced in so that it is dog-safe.
In winter, you trudge through deep snow and make yourself comfortable in front of the large, cozy tiled stove.
To the house:
On the ground floor there is a spacious entrance area that is also suitable for a family or a small group. From there you reach the kitchen, which invites you to cook, eat together and chat. From the kitchen you go into the spacious dining and living area, where you can sit comfortably at the table in the evening and play board games, or on whose sofas you can cuddle up and watch an exciting film.
The two floor-to-ceiling, typically Swedish tiled stoves add a lot of atmosphere!
There is also an electric guest toilet on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are a total of three bedrooms and the bathroom with shower.
The first bedroom offers generous space, with a double bed, a seating area and a closet as well as a clothes rail. There is also a tiled stove here, which guarantees a cozy atmosphere! A baby bed is standing quite near in a small chamber, so you can hear if it cries at night..
A smaller bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a closet and a clothes rail.
There is a small bedroom with a 1.20m wide bed, which should be big enough for two children if necessary.
The bathroom is quite large and has a shower, toilet and sink. The washing machine is also here.
Good to know:
In about 9.5 miles there is Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's birthplace and home. Astrid Lindgren World invites children and adults to experience the wonderful characters of childhood.
There is also an Astrid Lindgren Museum.
Of course there is a moose park nearby, about 25 miles to go, and you can feed the big animals!
To the sea - preferably to Västervik - it's about a 35-minute drive.
There is much more to experience in Sweden - not least discover the peace and nature, the lakes and the wonderful starry sky.
