Just enough
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HotelsRecently stayed here for a fishing trip. The place was clean enough, with the building and room both being safe and comfortable. The bed itself was clearly old and worn out, and fairly uncomfortable especially given how physically exhausting multiple days of fishing can be. Room was never serviced the entire time I was there, and there was never anyone at the front desk (you had to call or buzz).

We hope you enjoyed your fishing trip and we apologize for the discomfort of your bed, not knowing which room it is hard to address, but once more we apologize. As for room service we do it as requested there are room service tags for the door handles in the rooms. And due to seasons changing and less staff Angela the manager does live there and is on call but gets busy and pulled away from the front desk often so yes there is a direct number for her or a door bell. We apologize if that was an inconvenience for you. Hope to see you in the near future and hopes for a more comfort stay for you. Thank you, Angela

Nice older establishment
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HotelsOlder rooms but good for age of establishment. Not very accommodating for people with disabilities. I asked for disability accessible room, and had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to room. Also shower is very slick hard to get in with crippled legs, beds are so low to ground it's hard to get up. Friendly staff if you can find them. There is a number to call to contact staff, then someone will come to front desk. Attached restaurant is amazing. Huge portions, I never could finish half my plate.

Also we are in the process of putting slip proof flooring in our shower floors. The manager actually lives at the hotel which makes it to where she is available 24/7 but she gets busy so there is a number to reach her when need be. There was no shelving in the bathroom. Had to put all toiletries on the floor. Everything else was fine. Will choose this establishment again.

Easy and simple lodging right in the heart of town. Bed and pillows comfy. Room and bathroom size big. Could have used an extra blanket on the bed, and water pressure was low. Not fancy but served its purpose for the trip and felt clean and safe.

Bedding and linens were clean. There was no safety latch on the door. Mattress was cheap and uncomfortable with no support. The single chair was a broken down stacking chair with zero padding. There were no black out curtains and they didn't close completely with shears in the middle. Walked by other rooms with open doors that appeared updated, probably comfortable well taken care of, too bad the room I was in hadn't been updated.

Our apologizes for the safety latch guest tend to leave with it latched from time to time and we have to break the latch to be able to enter the room thosse are being replaced . Also we apologize that your room wasent comfortable for you ,upon request we couldve possibly got you moved into another room. Every room should have black out curtains but yes there is a sheer in the middle but they should be closeable . we hope to see you in the near future and your stay will be more comfortable for you.Thank you, Angela hotel manager

Though not a recently built or remodeled facility, the inn and property were clean and well kept. The room featured several ammenties to make our stay more pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The friendly and welcoming staff was helpful in getting us situated into our room on the second floor. Another chair at the table would have be a welcome addition.

Great little hotel - perfect for fishing the Kenai River. Andrea, the hotel manager, goes beyond her job description - she even helped me bring my luggage to my room. Thank you for a great stay.
