A fantastic experience!

We had an amazing two nights at the hotel, the suites are unbelievable - spotlessly clean, well equipped (eg coffee makers and Netflix!), and very tasteful. The pool area is every bit as nice as shown in the pictures and breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! Service was first rate, as you would expect. Our luggage went missing in Split airport and the hotel even arranged for someone to collect from the port on Solta! Restaurant was highly recommended and didn’t disappoint - the fish dishes were especially good. We’d love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to others!

Femstjärnigt hotell med femstjärnig service. Det som kunde göra hotellet ännu bättre vore om de kunde förbjuda barn/-familjer (speciellt i poolområdet).

Martinis Marchi is well worth it--Go There!

Somewhat inadvertent, we were to be staying in Split for 2 nights and then going by ferry to Hcar, but the reservation got flummoxed and we had to delay by 1 night--not wanting to spend a 3rd night in Splut I discovered Solta island and then the Hitel Martinis Marchi. Seldom does a destination property exceed in its beauty beyond its photographs and its own marketing materials. Martinis Marchi is spectacular, a wonderful place for a couple to find quiet relaxation.

Beautiful and peaceful stay but poor service

If the service at Martinis Marchi was as great as the beautiful location and suite (Duke Savoyski suite), I would say we had a perfect stay. Service was lacking, which for us makes it a 4 star location and not a 5 star location. In general, it seems like the staff doesn´t want to offer service, unless they are "forced to". When we asked for orange juice for breakfast, pool service, lunch by the pool, available tables for lunch/dinner without a booking we always received hesitant and/or unwilling replies, never smiles and a positive attitude. The pool was full of guests all day, but the staff never came to take orders. If you ordered lunch or drinks brought to the pool, (you had to go downstairs to the restaurant and order), the bottles and remains stayed at the same place all day with no cleaning... Wonderful location, postcard perfect and gorgeous, but for most of our stay the service was non existent. For the price you pay, you would appreciate a smiling and service minded staff. If the hotel does something with the service, I would definitely recommend it. But when this lacks, it affects the whole stay in an unfortunate way.
