Cozy little cabin far enough to be away

Beware! Not as advertised!
Publié le 1 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were supposed to stay 2 nights - we left early morning after the first night. Texted the owners to tell them we were leaving and the response we got was “ Drive safe. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day.” Never asked us why. First off, the cabin had a stale/moldy smell the minute you walk in. The toilet was not properly set so every time you flushed, water came out the bottom, flooding the floor. It’s been like this awhile as the floor is now sagging in the bathroom and on the other side of the wall in the bedroom. There is no WiFi as listed. It is definitely not lakefront. The closest water is a flood basin at the back of the property. The hot tub is the blowup kind. The water was overly chlorinated - I stuck my hand in the water and it instantly felt like it was burning my skin. Not to mention when we looked at the hot tub in the daylight, it was disgusting. There was brown film around the sides and long hairs on the cover. This was our first bad experience booking through VRBO. Not exactly the way we expected to spend our anniversary weekend. Ugh!

I’m sorry you felt like exaggerating your circumstances. I don’t know what you did to our hot tub, but you left a mess. Plus we don’t use chlorine because it’s harsh on the skin. Our cabins are not advertised as “lakeside”. We do have two fishing ponds. It’s also stated in our listing that there is no WiFi. Our cabins are in the woods, after all. Thank you for busting our toilet and trashing our cabin. Guests just do NOT leave our cabins looking like you did. It would’ve been considerate to let us know about our toilet.

Great Gettaway Spot
