A fall get-away at the Cottage
Publié le 4 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayKate Murphy’s Cottage is a welcoming place to unwind from the busyness of life. The cottage is snuggled under trees next to a murmuring creek that softens the sounds of the neighborhood. Furnishings are simple and comfortable, while the basics are easily found in neat cupboards, cabinets, and closets. The backyard deck provided hours of peaceful reflection enjoyed with wine secured from local vineyards. Entertainment was provided by squirrels and birds. A couple of times a doe and her fawns stopped by. A buck (male deer) briefly greeted me one morning at the front porch door as he sauntered on his way. The internet connection was robust, and the television was easily navigated.
The many and varied shops, eateries, and entertainment of Sonoma are a leisurely walk from the cottage. And when walking through the neighborhoods, we were always greeted with friendly a ‘Hello!’ Our hosts were welcoming and warm. They kindly inquired as to our comfort unobtrusively. We are happy to have experienced the hospitality of Kate Murphy’s Cottage.

Cozy, Comfortable Cottage

Everything in the cottage: beds, chairs, lighting, kitchen, porch, deck was comfortable, cozy, and homey. The deer in the back yard were a special treat. We did not need a car. It was an easy walk to the Plaza, town wineries, the bagel shop and Whole Foods. We visit Sonoma often; we hope Kate's cottage is always available.
