Un motel agréable dans une région à visiter
Publié le 27 mars 2024 sur HotelsUn motel associé à un hôtel bien situé au centre d’une petite ville pittoresque de l’intérieur de la Californie, Sonora. La région est très intéressante pour son histoire (époque de la ruée vers l’or) et pour la découverte de la nature. Le motel et l’hôtel sont très bien pour les familles. Le personnel est agréable et réactif. Les chambres sont assez grandes, propres, confortables et bien équipées. On y trouve un micro-ondes, un réfrigérateur et un coffre-fort. Le petit-déjeuner est un buffet, très bon et varié, avec des gaufres fraîches.

Clean room, welcoming staff. The only small flaw is that the sliding door to the bathroom does not lock.

Tout était très bien hormis les rideaux occultants qui ne permettent pas de rendre la chambre obscure surtout avec l’éclairage puissant des couloirs extérieurs.

Le Lumberjack semble appartenir au même propriétaire que le Sonora Inn, qui se trouve juste de l’autre coté de la rue. C’est d’ailleurs au Sonora qu’on a fait le check-in/out (le personnel a été très accueillant). c’est là qu’on a eu accès à la piscine (petite et très chlorée, mais très propre) et c’est là qu’on a prit le petit-déjeuner continental (gaufres, oeufs cuits durs, bagel, jus, café etc.)
Le Lumberjack est du style « motel » avec des accès direct de l’extérieur à la chambre et bien qu’un peu vieillot, il a été nouvellement rénové et a un look très très in, du genre nordique. Deux grands lits, frigo, micro-onde et une super salle de bain.
Petit hic, l’air climatisé qui se trouve à un pied du lit… on a eu deux choix : avoir chaud et entendre les allers et venus de la rue ou être frigorifiés toute la nuit.
Sinon, le soir on a mangé au Armory. La bouffe est ok, un peu chère, mais l’ambiance et le décor vaut le coup! Dj sur place. Les enfants ont bien aimé aussi (12 et 15 ans).
Petit in: derrière l’hôtel il y a un « mart » où vous trouverez fruits, légumes et tout ce qu’il vous faut pour un pique-nique ou un diner sur le pouce.

Parking was full when we returned back to room after concert and had to park across the highway at bank parking lot.

Hot water was lukewarm, no shower gel, bottle was empty, spider and cobwebs around the bathroom floor and the room smells like smoke.
The bed was very comfortable and a great TV.
