Hotel needs renovating in all areas. Staff need training as attitude appalling. Had water running down from above room at 4.50am; no one answered at reception and gave up after 40mins of trying to contact. Reception was supposed to be 24hr but no one there or they were asleep in office! Ended up sleeping on sofa and using towels to mop up water. Eventually told receptionist at 8am and she couldn’t have cared less. We had a suite but stains on carpet and desk was covered in scratches and tea marks.
Lift (only one in building) stopped working prev night with no idea when it would be fixed. Breakfast served in small room; food Luke warm and not very appetising. Table was wobbly and no one there to clean them down.
This is definitely not a luxury hotel with exceptional service! Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately doors bang when closed, therefore had two sleepless nights. This is a real shame as everything else was great. Staff are friendly and facilities are good.

Posted Aug. 20, 2024 on HotelsI stay here a lot. Decent hotel with comfy rooms. Not sure about the rooms with big skylights above the beds! Need to get some sort of blinds for them. Golf courses are good. Would be good if the bar had more staff on though as it is always a little understaffed at busy times.

It’s ok for a night for a family and ease to port
Posted Aug. 19, 2024 on HotelsThe room had a damp smell, the temperature was ok, parking was a nightmare because quite a few spaces are filled with haulage containers. Electric cars: 2 Tesla charges and one multi car charger which was occupied the length of the stay by one car. Bar/restaurant is not for families due to the nature of clientele. Good selection of drinks and food.

Used to stay when it was a marriott. This hotel has gone rapidly downhill.
Receptionist was clueless as to what was going on....breakfast had closed at the weekend by 9.25am ....Broad St no longer a restaurant.....hotel now looking tired and in need of a paint . Will not return

Filthy dirty rooms with terrible service!
Posted Aug. 16, 2024 on HotelsA very tired & filthy dirty hotel. We could not believe how dirty our room was.
It took half an hour to check when we arrived at night as systems down & was told at 11.45pm that my room wasnt available yet. Someone then tried to enter our room at 1am, as our room had been double booked - when i was in bed, so felt unsafe.
The carpet in our room was covered in shingle & stones, with an empty crisp packet on the floor & clothes label & sides covered in dust.
Had to queue for half an hour for a table at breakfast the next day & then another 10 minutes for the hot food trays to be filled & then to find they had no ketchup for a cooked breakfast.
A shambles of a hotel. They had a long line of people complaining at both breakfast & at reception & to the cleaners along our corridor, about how dirty their room was as well. Several people form our wedding party had no hot water for 2 nights as well. on trying to complain to the hotel, they dont care & offered me a free breakfast next time i stayed. I wouldnt stay here again if you paid me!
