Gorgeous location, nice hospitality from Lorna, the owner. Everything was like the pictures.
Publié le 15 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayI have spent the whole month of November in that place……absolutely a gorgeous location, very quiet, a permanent sea view from the unit and the beach at walking distance, sunset and very kind hospitality and avaibility from Lorna, the owner! 10-15 minutes away by walk from the famous Horseshoe Beach! A real paradise! Thank you Again Lorna for your kind hospitality! 😊

Hi Rene. Your ears must be ringing cause I just thought of you yesterday. All is well with our family. Trysten's daughter came on Saturday, Dec 10, 2022 @ 8:45pm. She is the most precious little human being. Mother and child doing great. They are a bit far from us but I hope to see her often.
For December it has remained lovely. Still in short sleeves and shorts. You would have loved this weather. The Beach is amazing. Like glass today with just one ripple of a wave. The chickens continue to lay eggs and I have tomatoes, onions, spinach, baby bok choy, sweet potatoes and Peppers growing in the gardens. Only one pineapple has fruited and so sweet. I made pineapple rice with it and pork chops. I know you would have loved it. Until next time. Miss you quiet spirit. It was a pleasure having you stay with us for so long. Ya family now. Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

Special place!

We stayed in Studio By the Sea which was a lovely apartment with very comfortable bed and kitchen that has everything you need to prepare a meal. Our host Lorna makes you feel very welcome and was extremely responsive to our communications. She generously allowed us to park our two seater EV next to the apartment and charge for free. We would happily stay there again if we return to Bermuda someday.

Perfect location!

Deck House is heavenly!
Publié le 30 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayDeck House exceeded my expectations in almost every way - very clean and well maintained, accurate description, plenty of amenities/kitchen tools/beach supplies, incredible views, beach path ease, and the loveliest hosts. Lorna and Greg were so welcoming and kind, happy to chat but respectful of solitude, and helpful with any needs. Even the towels and toilet paper were of high quality!
The bay's water is calm and protected, with clear water and plentiful reefs for excellent snorkeling, and the pink sand is the softest of landings. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing time, this is THE place!

Excellent Location and Wonderful Hosts

The view cannot be beat, and the access to the private beach was amazing. The south shore of Bermuda has so much to offer and this property was ideally situated to make the most of the island.

Gemstones Southampton

Perfect vacation!
Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything about our stay was perfect thanks to Lorna and Greg. The location, views, beaches, and hospitality of the Wilsons all exceeded our expectations. We rented a Twizy for the duration of our stay and were able to park it right in front of the Deck House. Everything we needed for our stay was provided - beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, etc. It was also a pleasure getting to know Lorna and Greg, they are wonderful people. I highly recommend staying at the Gemstones and hope to be back!

It was a pleasure having both of you stay with us. Thank you for look after the Deck House. The energy you had to put over 100 miles on a EV in 6 days was impressive 👏 Then to leave our property in 5 star condition. Wow! Do come back asap. It was a lovely experience, and our conversations....outstanding. We need more professional medical workers in Bermuda.

Relaxing beachside stay in Southampton

The unit is fully-stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay (don’t forget to bring your own soaps/shampoos, though). Cross Bay Beach is steps away and is a quiet, private oasis with great snorkeling just a few meters from shore. I gave the location rating 4 stars because in hindsight, I would have preferred to stay somewhere with more dining options within walking distance, but I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, slow pace in Southampton (having Henry’s across the street was convenient). Lorna was a friendly and helpful host.

Best Stay at Gemstone for Peace of Mind and Beach in Bermuda

The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with items you really need for a comfortable stay. The beach is so close and beautiful with views from the deck of the studio. Hands down, this is my best stay in Bermuda, and I have been coming to Bermuda almost every year. Loved it! Thank you Lorna

Thank you for your review. As a returning many times guest to our shores, especially Cup Match time I am so glad we meet. You had the right idea to stay in a variety of places since Bermuda has some lovely places and parishes to enjoy. Thanks for looking out for me during our swim day at Jobson's Cove. I will never forget you, Tina.
Your company was lovely to help me during my harvesting onions and plants melons. They literally grew iinfront of our eyes daily.
