Grandpas 79th Birthday
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe (our family of 19 now) have spent a week in July together at the beach on Lake Michigan for over 20 years. This house gets our vote as one of the best.
The host was very responsive for a couple minor issues. The house is very clean and has everything you could possibly want or need.

2024 Family Vacation
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur 3 generation family vacation was filled with fun. We enjoyed all the amenities, the pool, boat, beach, game room and golf simulator. Our favorite place was the screened in porch where we could always watch what was going on and be in the shade if needed. It was the best spot to watch the fireworks without bugs. There was plenty of room for parking. The neighbors were very nice. This house worked great for our family of 15 and would highly recommend it.

Girls Trip
Publié le 22 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayBest VRBO I have ever stayed in - even better than pictures. We had a couple of questions and Jonah responded immediately. Beds were very comfortable and sheets were so soft. We spent most of our time in the game room. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us around the bar and the dining table. The industrial size coolers and ice machine there were perfect. Plus, the 2 refrigerators in the kitchen fit everything we all brought. I Can only imagine how great it would be in warmer weather around the pool and lake. Highly recommend.

Wonderful house for large group
Publié le 23 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely loved our stay. 14 of us where there for a Spartan Race in Grand Rapids and wanted a single location we all could hang out in before and after the race. This house was built to entertain large groups. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub a lot on the cold fall days. The view off the back porch looking over the lake with all the leaves changing colors was breathtaking. The amenities were spot on. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms, bluetooth speakers, golf simulator, pool table, large wet bar, and more. This house was everything it promised.
Even more, the host was great. Fast to respond to questions, very nice and polite, even left us a welcome gift when we arrived.
We have already said we will need to come back.

Communication with owner the best I’ve had. Instructions for working things perfect. Beds clean. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Publié le 9 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe werent able to use the beach or the dock for one day due to an event hosted by Jonah’s neighbor.(which looked like it was being cohosted by Jonah based on the use of his property). This wasnt disclosed to us and Jonah didnt do anything to make it right hence the 3 star review. In fact, the crowd was chanting foul language in front of 10 kids aged anywhere between 3-16. So do not recommend this for a family friendly vacation. Bachelor party? Sure. Otherwise we enjoyed the pool and the house mostly. Upstairs air conditioning wasnt working. Upstairs AC Thermostat is located downstairs so not sure how it would have worked anyhow and none of the rooms had vents. Vents were only in the hallways. Keep that in mind for hot days.

Ece, I wish I was able to post photos in my response. VRBO is currently reviewing your review for us. You texted me from the beginning saying you would ruin our reviews if you didn't get some sort of refund (you didn't event state what you wanted the refund for as the event you're mentioning hadn't even started when you sent that.) Your language and attitude was very aggressive and rude. You submitted photos of the neighbors home and beach. We told you via VRBO message that the weekend you booked had our lake poker run, our neighbors had a stop at their house for that day. Once I sent you and your husband Nick the screenshot of our messaging about the poker run that day, your group claimed you never informed them even though you messaged me back. I called our neighbors the minute you made a complaint, they sent me photos to show nothing was on our beach or dock like you claim. You never mentioned the air conditioning issue during your stay, there is 3 different thermostats (2 downstairs and 1 upstairs). The house has 2 brand new AC units as of this summer as well. There are vents in each and every room, I'm not sure where you're coming up with this. Again VRBO is investigating this review due to how many inaccuracies it contains. Any potential booking that this review raises caution to, please contact me and I will put all concerns at ease any way I can.

Large, spacious and extra clean
Publié le 18 août 2023 sur HomeAwayLoved our stay. House was big enough to accommodate all of us. Loved the heated pool and hot tub. Plenty of dishes and cutlery. Large kitchen table seats 14. Beds were super comfy along with pillows and lines. Lots of beach toys and towels. Well stocked kitchen. 3 air fryers! 2 large refrigerators and large beverage cooler and ice machine in upstairs game room. Communication with hosts was very good. Easy check in and check out. 2 large washers and dryers. Large fire pit on the beach. We rented the pontoon boat for a day and check out the lake. Not much luck fishing in the boat but we did catch some nice bass from the dock. Large gas grill for cooking and double oven in kitchen. TVs in every room with loads of channels for those rainy days. We would definitely recommend this rental and would not hesitate to book again.

This house has it all!

The salt water, heated pool was a hit. The screened in porch was a wonderful reprieve from the sun and really great for watching a storm roll through.
The house was so clean and fresh, they thought of everything! Plenty of towels and things to do both inside and out. We had some questions about the electronics and they were right there ready to show us how to use everything.
If I was going to change anything it would be the bunk room. It would have served us better as a normal bunk with a trundle. But we had a couple people cancel so we only had 18 guests and it worked out great!
We brought kayaks and enjoyed the lake. The littles enjoyed playing in the sand and the shallow water. Finished each day with a fire.
