Thank you for your kind review. We have had several work crews stay with us as we are much cheaper and nicer than any hotel in this area. We were just happy to be able to accommodate you for your week in Sparta. Come back and see us and bring friends and/or family and let them enjoy all there is about Serenity. You may be able to visit the area too since you were working during your stay.

Serenity
Posted May 27, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was our third time staying and each time gets better. Our only setback is that the parkway is being repaved so we were not able to get on but besides that everything perfect. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We love having Mark. He always communicates with us and leaves the house neat and clean. We hate the Parkway is closed near us but it is open a few miles down the road. You can still get to Doughton Park and The Bluffs Restaurant by going in to Sparta and taking Highway 18 out to Laurel Springs. It's a few miles farther but it's not closed completely. It should be open next year. Come see us again. We'll double check the Parkway openings. ;-)

Posted May 16, 2024 on HomeAwayThis property is Simply the Best!!! Beautiful Mountain View’s out the front and acres and acres of state land out the back to walk or discover (as long as you can walk back up the steep edge)
We have attended the Sparta Apple Pie Festival 2 years in a row. It did not disappoint. BUT… This house is perfect for people, children and pets!! And to top it all off, Steve, the host, responds immediately to texts. He is the long distance tour guide, and has an answer to any and every question. He treated us like family, both years we stayed! 5 Stars for this VRBO!

Having Lannea and family stay with us is like having our own family stay. Frequent text exchanges helped us coordinate things to do and places to go for our guests that are from out of town that may want to know all that there is to do in the Sparta, NC area and on Serenity on the Blue Ridge Parkway. From area wineries and the Yadkin Valley Wine Trail, Mt. Pilot and Mayberry to State Parks and hiking trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway which is only steps from the front door of Serenity. Everything is available to you from your central location of Serenity.
We welcome Lannea and family (4 legged family included) any time

Wonderful weekend

Big family Christmas!

No other view
Posted Nov. 9, 2023 on HomeAwayThis was our second time renting. Beautiful home, clean, well stocked and a the view is like no other. Towels and linen provided were clean too! Book this one, you won’t regret it!

Friends Yearly Getaway

Peaceful with breathtaking views
Posted Oct. 23, 2023 on HomeAwayThis is our second stay at this beautiful home. Secluded and peaceful with an outstanding view from the spacious deck where we enjoyed our coffee most mornings. The mountain ranges in the distance, changing of the leaves and all of the sounds of wildlife surrounding (mostly birds- but you may get lucky enough to see deer as well), the view never gets old, even on a rainy day. The sunsets from this location are phenomenal! The house is spacious enough to accommodate my family (including children ranging from toddler to teen), my in-laws and brother-in-law to all relax separately or gather for meals, games, etc. From a wide variety of kitchenwares to the super comfortable beds, the warmth of the living room and our favorite part- the deck, this home covers all of your needs, just bring groceries, coffee & wine and you're all set for a good time. The house is super clean and located within decent driving distance of many places- from in-town Sparta to Mt Airy to Meadows of Dan. Even taking a day to visit family in WV was a decent drive. We look forward to returning again.

It sounds like we checked all the boxes for being a decent vacation rental for your getaway needs. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and we too just can't get enough of the views and sunsets over the Blue Ridge. We put deer corn out occasionally to bring in the deer that you can watch them feed from the deck but that brings in Bear too so we try to limit how much corn we put out.
We continuously work to keep the house up to date and maintained for your pleasure and hope you continue to enjoy our piece of Serenity in the Blue Ridge.
I hope we can continue to work together to keep you coming back at reasonable prices.
