Great location, a little rustic
Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location of the cabin was perfect. There are several properties on this location, and we chose the loft cabin. It was an adventure getting to bed using the ladder. Once we were in the loft, we realized there were no safety rails which concerned me, but I never fell out of the bed. Overall, I just feel the cabins are a little highly priced for what you get. I’ve been glamping before and the accommodations seem to be more modern. These just seem like very old cabins on an awesome lot. With some updates, this could be a really awesome campground.

Off the Grid
Publié le 6 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful and well maintained property. Check in and out were a breeze. Quiet place out in the country. Great escape from the city. House was clean but small. No ice maker, stove did not work, no pans provided, and no TV. Main sleeping quarters was upstairs via a ladder which was sketchy. We slept on the sofa on the main floor. For safety purposes a railing is needed around the main sleeping quarters. The ladder takes up too much room. Needs to be able to be stowed away to create extra room on the main floor. Thank you for the exlerience.

Thank you for the review, and great to meet you. Wondering if you missed the 2-burner hot plate on the lower shelf - you mentioned that the stove did not work. And there are pans and skillets in the cabinet under the sink - did you miss those as well? If you needed help with where they were, or if anything was missing, I would've been more than happy to help you out and give you some additional, but I never heard a word on those things. And the ladder not being attached wouldn't be that safe for guests, so we have it bolted in for a safer experience. Sleeping in a loft isn't for everyone though, so it's always good to check the listing to make sure it fits the guest's exact needs. Thanks for coming out to the property, text me personally when you're ready to come back out and I'll put you in one of the other eco-cabins that are 1-story.

Perfect place to unwind and relax
Publié le 5 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property is beautiful and has a very zen-like vibe. We stayed in the blue eco-loft and found it utterly charming. The bed in the loft and the futon downstairs were comfortable and the linens were nice.
The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans. There is a tea kettle, coffee maker and a small fridge. We took a camp stove to cook outside but the kitchen has a hot plate if you want to cook indoors. There are also several grills outside if you want to grill.
This is a rustic cabin with antique cabinetry, decor, and a tiny bathroom with a shower. It met our needs perfectly but would not be ideal for a family with small children.
Nature is the real star of this property. Tall mulberry trees and oaks provide plenty of shade to sit and read a book. There are hammocks and chairs all around and it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the deer right outside our door after dark. The only sounds at night were cicadas.
We had hoped to spend time in the water but the lake is very low right now. You can still rent a kayak, SUP, or canoe and fishing is good I hear. We abandoned our plans in the water though and just took advantage of quiet time in nature to unwind and relax. We left feeling completely calm and refreshed.
Finally, the property owner, Travis, was incredible. He was very communicative and accommodating. I would stay again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time.

Coolest Eco-Friendly Cabins!!
Publié le 26 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayI recently booked for my girlfriends birthday, and let me tell you I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED AT ALL!! The whole experience was AMAZING, there's Deer, Smokers for BBQ, A whole waterfall to relax and listen to, and of course the great view of Lake Travis!! Great place to stay even Uber eats delivers that far. Cool thing about it as well is, there's a Winery down the street!!!

Had a great time, it was quiet and peaceful
Publié le 18 avr. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing time in the cabin, i do wish that the upper part of the loft where we slept had curtains. But other than that we had fun exploring the different place around spicewood. We'll definitely have to plan for another trip back to spicewood.

Hi Gary - for clarification - yes our professional cleaning crew disinfects everything between each stay. There is a lock on the front sliding door and the key left inside can be used to lock the back door. Hope that helps! Hope to host you again soon!

Blue Loft
Publié le 12 juin 2020 sur HomeAwayQuiet place right on the river. You are left alone to enjoy your stay which was great but also quick to reply when I had a question. Only draw back was our room wasn’t cleaned very well at all and bed linen had not been changed.

Hi Rene - we are really surprised to read your review after only hearing everything was great during and after your stay. As discussed when we personally ran in and changed the loft linens that the lady who cleaned before your arrival was a last minute, first time fill in, for our normal cleaner (she was at the emergency room with her daughter). As I mentioned to you at that time it is NOT acceptable for what you found at arrival - but it is also NOT a normal situation here. We hold our cleaning standards very high since we believe that is the most important part of a rental vacation and our sincere apologies you didn't receive that same experience. It is always suggested by hosts to provide any concern or feedback during your stay to give the host a chance to fix a situation or make things right. All the best to your and your family, Rene!
