The Montvale is a lovely historic hotel very conveniently located in downtown Spokane. I prefer the uniqueness of this kind of hotel over a standard modern hotel.

There was construction going on in the lower part of the building that started @7am. Not ok

A favorite downtown classic.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is pleasant, the communication caring and effective. Easy downtown parking too.

Front desk gentleman was not the friendliest and you can hear everything through the walls. I heard the upstairs guests walking around their room until 2am and was unable to sleep. The street noise is also very loud. It is an old building but you would expect some sort of attempt to reduce this noise.
