Happy Weekend Getaway

We felt right at home at this clean, equipped, and comfortable home. We spent time in the pool (no heater needed in July) and watching TV in the great room on the plushy couches. The neighborhood was quiet. We had everything we needed for cooking, coffee, swimming, and washing clothes. They even had beach supplies. We hope to come back soon.

Great area

Located close to stores and recreation this property made our stay very enjoyable. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog Willie. He also liked walking around the neighborhood meeting some very friendly people. The house was very clean and equipped with everything needed for our stay. We look forward to staying at this property again soon. Chris G, Donna and Willie dog.

Very nice house the pool was nice and clean and heated to our liking nice area with lots to do..our host Melinda was awesome took very good care of us and always responded to our questions or needs...highly recommend this place and will be planning on returning next year...

Nice home. Could not pull in driveway when we got there. Contractors working on house. Electric being worked on and garage open with yard work going on. So many different switches in home. Very clean. Yard needs work landscaping needs work

Definitely not a good experience

Dirty - Previous tenant left same day we arrived. Unit was not cleaned properly, if at all. Pool Heater - Charged for pool heater, then told it would take days to heat. Our booking was only 2 days. Why charge for it? Meanwhile, husband in the background saying we needed to pay it as we had already been in pool. Um, pool is part of house? Shower Head - Broken and would spray water all over the bathroom. We advised they ignored. Guest book showed previous guest was also ignored when he advised of the problem. Master bath - bathtub clogged. We had to shower in standing water. Checkin - We paid at booking, yet kept receiving messages from owner requesting payment. She blames VRBO. However, the booking and payment were under my name. She left contract under my daughter's name. This makes me question her ability to use their system efficiently. Personal information - Multiple contracts with previous tenants personal information left on counter. Gas and Grill - Turned grill on and the whole patio filled with smoke. She blamed previous tenants. Guess the cleaning fee isn't for cleaning? House rules say that if the gas runs out while you are using it you are responsible to go fill it. ???? Why exactly would you pay to fill gas you didn't waste? The house and location were good, but the upkeep and owner are not up to par. Sadly, they don't seem to believe we deserve a clean and properly kept property when we rent.

Good Afternoon Melissa , We never heard any of these complaints from the guests , other than the bathroom shower head and pool heat , that was all that was expressed to us the night before the guest check-out . We rent out the same day as check-out, we allow a check-in as well . Most homes are following the same practices . If the home was not cleaned properly , we would expect the guest to call /text or email the property manager immediately !!! Who would stay if the home was not cleaned ? The only two issues that were brought to our attention : Shower head and pool heat. 1 ) Shower head : Hall bathroom ( second bathroom in the home ) Pin sized hole located at the side of the shower head. Shower head worked properly guests could use it without any issues. The only thing that was noted was a pin size hole at the side of the shower head sprayed a light mist while shower is turned on . Shower head was replaced the following day , which was completed in a timely manner. The guest mentioning it the night before next day check-out we needed time to purchase it and have our maintenance man come over to replace . The guest was able to use the shower for the entire stay ( 2 nights ) Pool Heater : ( this pool holds 10,000 gallons of water ) Guests receive an automated notice to their email. It states that if you require pool heat please contact us prior to your arrival date , so we may turn it on. Guest sent text message, on the check-in date , to turn on the pool heater. I immediately went over to the vacation home and turned the pool heater on. I also removed the timer pins to allow the heater to run 24 hours a day for the entire stay to increase the water temperature quickly due to the short stay of the guests. The guest called and stated that the water temperature was not warm enough . I then told them I would not charge them for the pool heat . Payments : All payments and automated messages for payments comes from VRBO . I have no control over collecting your payment. Contract under daughters name : After reviewing your information that was sent through VRBO , you had send two different inquiries with two different names . We cannot tell who you are or who your daughter is unless you tell us prior to your arrival ? Contracts : We leave a blank contract under your contract ( in case of a last minute reservation the guest would have a contract to complete . ) The contracts are short term rental agreements between the guest and property manager . Grill : The grill is 6 months old and its not uncommon for a grill to smoke at times . We have never ask or expected a guest to pay or refill a propane tank . We always have two tanks that are available right beside the barbecue grill for the guests to use in case the first tank empties , the guest will have a tank to use without any interruption in their grilling experience. I hope this helps explain any questions the guest have. Thanking for staying at our vacation rental home .

great stay

Had a great time. Everything in the listing was accurate. Enjoyed the pool and having a fenced in yard for our dogs. Will definitely stay again. Hopefully won't have to leave early again due to another hurricane.
