Lovely property on the water
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThere is a downstairs and upstairs rental. We stayed downstairs and the rental is cute and has very basic kitchen supplies but we made due. Enjoyed our time paddle boarding on the river. Unfortunately, the upstairs renters monopolized the property. There were 6 of them upstairs and even more showed up for a party and horrible music during the day. The upstairs group were downstairs on the small deck overlooking the water and all over the yard, even though they had their own large deck upstairs. Leaving the two renters downstairs, unable to enjoy the outdoors, besides escaping onto the river and getting out of there... The downstairs bed was painful to sleep on and we ended up sleeping on the couch which was slightly more comfortable. The window, AC drowned out some of the upstairs noise while sleeping on the couch. The upstairs Raptors were stomping up and down the stairs until 3 AM which runs right along the side of the bedroom makes it impossible to sleep in there. Upstairs bathroom is also directly above the bedroom, so constant flushing and use all night long… The six people upstairs were going up and down the stairs till 3am to play pool in the garage. On our last day before check out we got up so early to beat the upstairs neighbors outside and was able to finally enjoy a cup of coffee on the little deck on the river, which was nice. If you choose to rent downstairs, make sure to bring a mattress pad that is super thick and hope that you don’t have upstairs renters.

We are always disappointed to hear when a guest does not fully enjoy their stay. We understand that the behavior of other guests staying in the other unit Is outside of our control, but we have behavioral rules in place that could have been enforced. But, we were not even given an opportunity to resolve these issues because they were never brought to our attention while you were staying there over a month ago.
The bed has a mattress topper and we try to keep our beds as comfortable as possible for our guests. This is the first complaint about the bed being uncomfortable, but I assure you we will check on it and if necessary, replace the mattress.
We have had this home split into two separate units for several years in an effort to make the river life accessible for those with small groups at an affordable price, but we have made the decision to convert to a single, whole house rental, which means the smaller separate rental units will not be available separately after the end of this year.
Again, we wish these issues have been brought to our attention during your stay so that we could have worked to resolve them and better your experience.

Perfect Retreat!
Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely, quiet property on the canal with easy kayak access to the Weeki Wachee River! Full kitchen, roomy quarters, kayaks, paddles and life jackets included! Nice shaded deck on the canal, plus large screened in patio with a dining table and chairs - indoor or outdoor dining! Italian restaurant and gas station just down the street!

Nice little river front getaway for a couple
Publié le 23 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe mermaid themed stay was very clean and as depicted in the listing. There is an upstairs house that was occupied by another couple. Lots of kayaking on the small river behind house. The nearby Italian restaurant is good too.

Amazing location, Great View, Kayak off the backyard.
Publié le 26 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis rental has a great location to Weeki Wachee park, a screened in patio that was great for us playing games. We were able to cook easily with the stove and the fridge. Getting into the rental was very clear and easy instructions to walk through the door through the garage to the rental door.
I slept on the pullout sofa and my friend slept in the bedroom. The pullout mattress has a huge brown stain on it. In general the unit really needs a deep cleaning.
Unfortunately I don’t believe that we will return. The temperature is controlled by the rental unit upstairs. We had a family with three young children upstairs which was too much for me with all the noise and stomping around. I didn’t realize there would be another rental upstairs when we booked the place.
The living room has a window unit so you can control the air. It was freezing this weekend and we were not able to get the fireplace to work despite turning the pilot light knob to on and switch on the wall. We ended up leaving a day early because of the cold and my allergies/asthma was so bad I couldn’t breathe the two days we were there.
