Absolute failure!

We never received instructions on how to enter the house. When we tried to contact the owner, they didn't respond to messages. The phone number listed on the app, was an incorrect phone number. There's nothing good to say about this experience!

Rental was inacessible

We rented the place a few days ahead and messaged the owner the evening before and morning of the arrival day to have the check in information - no response. We left a voicemail on the day of arrival - no response. We therefore contacted VRBO - after much time between the Chat exchange and then call - they finally get hold of someone who says they will send us a text message with the check in information. We receive an invitation to use an App to access the property which we have problems downloading- the person who sent us the invitation said it would meet us at the property to open it for us. We arrive at the property and receive a text from the person saying we can’t use the property for the weekend. We then discover we were not in contact with the owner (maybe a neighbor?) and the person says the owner shut the water as a result of water issues and we will be refunded. We then spent hours trying to find another place to stay as it is a Friday afternoon and limited rentals in the area are pulled off the website at that time. Thankfully Gabriel at VRBO helped us but we ended up having to rent from another company as the two options he was able to find were too far. All of this to say, the owner should have removed the listing for the rental and should also regularly check his messages if he wants customers to rent, be satisfied, and give good reviews. This situation should have been avoided. Finding another place at the last minute was time consuming and upsetting. It is the last thing people want to deal with after traveling for hours.

great stay

The duplex was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. This was the best supplied rental I have rented. I have been renting seasonal rentals for 15 plus years so that is saying a lot. The only thing that was a con was you need a smart phone to lock and unlock the property. I have a dumb phone so that was a communication problem between me and the owner. My grandchildren tell me I need to get a smart phone and I believe they are right. cherese just used her phone to unlock the door. We had no issues with anything else. It was a wonderful place to visit family and friends and celebrate gobble day together.
