We ate at the outside table and loved the view of trees and all the spring birdsong. We hiked to the stream and the kids played in the water. Easy trip to Mount Vernon and DC.

Unfortunately, various circumstances kept the guests to just the two of us. It is a large property for only two people, but very pleasant. My initial discomfort with staying in someone’s basement was short lived - once you are in the room you can hear occasional noise from upstairs, but not enough to be a concern. The path behind the house to the unit is well lit, and the view from the patio doors makes you feel quite secluded.

Beautiful, Clean, Comfortable, Quiet
Publié le 3 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis vrbo is lovely! Spacious, comfortable, clean. We had everything we needed. It’s also in a great location for day trips - we took several (east to Alexandria, north into DC, and west).
Amy and Owen are great hosts - we mostly communicated with Amy, who was very responsive to our questions and requests both before and during our stay.
