Visiting family
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayI was in Springfield to visit family and looking at properties in advance of relocating. The Honey Spot was the perfect place to stay. Location was great because it was 5 minutes from my mother’s home, which made visiting easy. The home itself was wonderful, clean, comfortable and very up to date. Ricardo is an amazing host. Provided wonderful information about the area, easy to reach if I had any questions, made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. Will definitely stay again the next time I’m in the area.

Host Cancelled 90 minutes before check in
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayI wish I could tell you about this property, but unfortunately, the host cancelled on us 90 minutes before check-in. Four of us in town for a graduation had to scramble for alternative accommodations and pay significantly more. Worst of all, VRBO only agreed to refund what we had paid, but wouldn’t provide any additional consideration for the hassle or extra money we had to spend for a last-minute hotel booking. Very disappointing all the way around. The review form requires me to provide a rating for the cleanliness of property and the location and neighborhood, but I have no knowledge of either since we didn’t ever get into the property.

The guest demanded to check in prior to 3 pm and was hostile over the phone as I infirmed him that that was not possible as I had cleaning staff there until 3 pm. He insisted on being able to check-in to get ready and dressed to attend a graduation and I definitely understand but this was not possible and being that things unexpectedly escalated, I cancelled the reservation as it is against our policy and VRBO that guest try to check in earlier. I also decided to refund your money. I did not leave any reviews for you but your communication could be better as you may contact your host ahead of time to make earlier check-in arrangements.

Wonderful stay
Publié le 17 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved this property! Had everything we needed and we didn't have time to use or enjoy everything. The beds were SO COMFY!!! Loved having 2 bathrooms also. Great communication with the host! We would love to come back!

Awesome Property & Host

The home was well kept very Hi-Tech and well stocked with all you would need for your stay! Wonderful place to stay

He added special touches for us for valentine’s day, like freshly ground coffee, breakfast items, and flowers. It was a lot of fun cooking in such a nice kitchen, and they had all the little extras we ended up needing. The lighting and decor was soothing, the place was very clean, and check in/out were easy and straightforward. We enjoyed using the fire pit even in the snow. I’d definitely stay there again.

Excelente hospedagem
Publié le 13 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayCasa aconchegante, tudo muito organizado e limpo. A casa tem luzes de led, e um sistema de som incrível, que fizeram minha festa ainda mais especial. Amamos o quintal, onde tem um lugar para acender fogueira. Incrível !!!!
Ricardo foi muito atencioso do começo ao fim, muito gentil. Com certeza teremos o prazer de voltar no Honey Spot diversas outras vezes!!!

Amazing host
Publié le 18 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe truly settled in to The Honey Spot and made it our home for four nights. Ricardo goes above and beyond for his guests - he welcomes you into a “home” and not a house. He came by to light our fire pit and even bought me an organic chicken to make soup for my daughter who was recently sick. Kitchen is so well-stocked with organic spices galore and coffee for the real coffee drinker! Bath products are like being at a spa and you have got to love the lighting system. It’s like being at an exotic getaway. Not to mention artwork. We were visiting our daughter at UMass and took time to explore Springfield’s museums. The Armory is a must see as is Dr. Seuss Museum :-). I cooked all weekend so can’t recommend restaurants! Thank you, Ricardo.

How awesome Kim! UMASS is such a great University and my mom earned her doctorate degree from there so I'm quite acquainted with Amherst. Surely, your daughter will do very well in that setting. I occasionally get the opportunity to meet some of my guests and I am glad I got to meet you and your beautiful family even for just a few minutes while also finding similarities in Manheim, Germany of all places. A good was had at Honey Spot!

While we were too busy to enjoy all the property had to offer, such as the yard and grill which was exactly how it was described, the boys thoroughly enjoyed the Playstation and games. Ricardo gave us detailed instructions on everything in the home and some great suggestions for area restaurants. We will definitely consider renting there again!
