There is a brand new hot tub on your deck. PLEASE be courteous of it's use. No lotions or oils, please do not touch any settings, do not make any changes.
The tub will turn itself on, it will turn itself off, it will clean itself as needed. Do not touch any buttons. Thank you for that. (Note, Suggest leveraging as a "hot tub" and not a jacuzzi.
Ozonated chlorine and bromine are not great for your health.) Just get in and enjoy please. The Milky Way is to your South East/East depending on season. The big Dipper to the North /East.
Shooting stars are constant, you'll see none of that with bubbles and steam. Northern lights which have been GREAT in 2024 are early in the morning to your North East.
You have VHF/UHF TV as well as a ton of DVD's and you may stream using your own provider as needed. You must change the input on the TV as needed.
Please do not muck with the red button remotely attached to the antenna. That will rotate the antenna and you will lose all of your regular TV channels.
ADULTS ONLY PLEASE, NO CHILDREN. Please enjoy some adult time.
Note, we're on an artesian well. It's the only water in the area and depending on weather it can be hard. Please plan on bringing your own drinking water
or you may use the Britta filter I provide.
Hopefully you're doggy friendly as my Golden Retriever "Max" comes up to say hi. Hes extra friendly, but if he hangs around too long just ask
him to "go home".
He knows where to go. :-)
Your cabin will be left open for you as you arrive. Please do provide an approximate ETA in advance. It's good form and I try to be available as people arrive.
You must be familiar with operation of a wood stove in the cooler seasons. This stove is as simple as it gets, but this is your sole method for heating the cabin. Please do not touch the
propane heater. It's only intended for the coldest of Winter so pipes don't freeze, the propane is shut off at all other times. Please do not bring an electric heater. The wood
stove is more than adaquate and my circuits are only 10amp. They will not handle an electric heater.
You are WELCOME to source your own firewood! For the stove or the firepit on the deck. If you need a load delivered, please let me know in advance. I am now using the Amish delivery service.
They require 24 hours notice and do not work on Sundays. It's a very reasonable $15. There's an envelope provided. Or the grocery store in town has $8 half loads that are excellent.
Again, please resist the urge to unplug lights and devices. It drives the cleaning crew crazy. There's a charging station on the radio as soon as you walk in.
Please turn off lights when not in use. All lights have switches, there's no need to unplug them. (Except for the deck lights, which are by tub)
Please do your dishes as you depart. Garbage and recycling is just to the right of your driveway by the mailbox if needed.
There's a TON of great things to do in the area!
I have many brochures which have been left for you. Beaches, fishing, hikes, great places to dine, etc.
If you are looking for a quick and easy hike from your door step, head North on Feather from your driveway. It's 1/2 mile~ to a road closed sign. Keep going over the hill.
It's a really nice and reasonably easy trail.
Nearest beach to swim is "Sandy Point", North end of Honeoye Lake.
Best fishing "Canadice Lake", it's STELLAR. Or the trout are great right thru town.
Best Pizza and BBQ is Neopolitans in town.
Best bar/distillery, Hollerhorn. Right in town.
Best State Parks in the general area. Letchworth/Watkins Glen.
If you need anything at all please do ask!
Do please do let me know that all is well with your accommodations as you arrive? (Text 786-492-0718) Additionaly, please let me know as you check out so I can let the crew know?
If by chance I am not on the property during your stay, your focal will be "Becky" if needed. She lives 20~ mins away. Her cell is 585-775-9057, she can handle most anything. :-)
ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!!
