Long Overdue

48th anniversary vacation

Wonderful cabin

Great little cabin
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was perfect for a couple to visit little Switzerland. Not to far from town or the blue ridge parkway. If you are on a motorcycle the gravel road is not to bad , it had rained hard one day washing some rutts in road. But not to bad.
Cabin had everything you could want. Kitchen had pots and pans , cups and a dishwasher. Also a bbq pit outside. Hot tub was perfect, just turn the temperature up when you first get there.

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. After initially said that the cabin was perfect for a visit to Little Switzerland, you gave us 4 stars. I presume that is because of the ruts in the road. I will check the road when I get back in July and take corrective action if needed, but a hard rain will cause some ruts.

Overall cabin was in great condition. There were a few things that were a concern. There were large ants mostly dead, some alive in the bedroom and on and in the bed. We had to sweep up all the dead bugs when we arrived.
Our first day there was gunfire going on, off and on thru the day. We were afraid to venture away from the cabin and explore the property not knowing where the gunfire was coming from and where they may be shooting at. The bed is worn out and needs to be replaced. On the front porch there were abundance of wasps that appeared to be making a nest up against the house.
