Great cabin in the woods
Posted Jun. 23, 2022 on HotelsThis is a great little resort, nestled in the mountains just a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I stayed in a cabin (#122), which was complete with a nice living room, great AC, kitchen, all the amenities you need. There are nice trails around the property and the person I checked in with was very friendly and helpful when it came to which I should do. My only complaint is that the cabin I was in was directly across from a (necessary, I understand) streetlamp and there are no blackout curtains in the room. The last thing I expected when booking a cabin in the woods was a bedroom bathed in light. I jerryrigged a Pendleton blanket I always travel with as a curtain and it was literally night and day. Strongly suggest to the management to add these to the room and it will be perfect.

Thank you for your review and suggestion. I will make that change to the blinds in that cabin. I had never thought about the streetlight shining into that bedroom as you described but can see where that would be a problem. Good suggestion and recommendation. We hope you will visit us again soon.

Lots of animals on the property, lots of walking trails and you can fish. The area was beautiful the people were very nice

great getaway spot, beautiful property. Cabins could use some updating but still nice and a great place to relax. Horse trails are great.

We had a wonderful time. The cabins are rustic but have all that you need. Cell service is spotty but if you want to remove those type of distractions, this place is perfect.
