Good location but a few issues
Good location - close to historic area but just outside to avoid the traffic. Staff were friendly. Two issues with the physical condition of the room: the refrigerator, which was inside a cabinet, had the electrical cord coming outside the cabinet & plugged into an outlet next to the microwave & coffee maker, sitting on the counter. To use the microwave you had to unplug either the refrigerator or the coffee maker. It was tacky. Second, the body wash & shampoo bottles that are fastened to the shower wall in the bathroom had fallen off & they sat on a ledge with the hardware stuck on back of bottles. Tacky again. Seems like a maintenance person could resolve both issues in a short time. Also - the beds & pillows were not comfortable.

Won’t stay here again
I’ve stayed here before and wasn’t completely happy with the stay but wanted to give a second chance. I’m sorry I did. The first we had the A/C rattled nonstop and the thermostat on the wall was broken and hanging off. I asked to change rooms and the one we got the A/C was better but the cleanliness was subpar. Mold on the ceiling and in bathroom and smelled of mildew. Multiple dogs on the hall barking at all hours of day and night (small yappy barks and large German shepherd type barks. Hot tub broken and the front desk staff was less than friendly.

On my last night I found a needle behind the bed. One of my pets found it and brought it out into sight. I did not have caffeinated coffee (thankfully I brought my own) housekeeping only placed decaf pods in my room.

Arrived Friday & received excellent check -in service! Saturday am - early evening was great! Around 9:00 pm upon arrival from attending an event, from the back of the building’s parking lot I could hear a dog barking. As we entered our room the barking continued & it seemed to be 2 dogs! I visited the front desk & had to wait about 30 minutes for the desk person to return. A maintenance person started she would return shortly. The desk person asked if I knew what room the dog(s) was in. I did not know and was surprised she did not hear it. I confirmed with the maintenance person that he heard the barking. The dedk pers shared she could only be of assistance if she knew the room number. Later the dogs stopped barking. It was a disruptive period during my short stay.

We only book for a single nite to attend a concert. My rating is because the television in our room did not work. This issue was brought to the staffs attention and was told there was nothing they could do about it due to no vacancy and a new entertainment system. I suggested to pro-rate the room but that fell on deaf ears. This is a first world problem. Should’ve acknowledged the inconvenience and tried to make it right. Bathroom sink had a crack.

Great hotel and great location in walking distance to beach, food, and snacks. Pool area is clean. Staff was great! Kind and courteous. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a heavy musty mildew smell in the corridors and our room.
