We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pirate Haus! It is a budget accommodation but the manager (Dawn) was extremely attentive and did everything possible to ensure our comfort during our stay. The location can't be beat! You can easily walk from the Pirate Haus to many of the best St Augustine museums, attractions, restaurants, and shops. Dawn made our family delicious homemade pancakes for breakfast and helped us navigate the downtown area during the very busy Nights of Lights event downtown. The Pirate Haus isn't fancy but it's perfect for anyone looking for convenient, safe, friendly lodging at a great price. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic affordable option downtown
Loved this place! It is right in the middle of downtown, you can walk to everything. They have an option for nearby parking for a reasonable fee or free parking in garage a few blocks away. It's operated like a B&B and the staff is great. It is a historic building, not fancy but eclectic, fun, clean, comfortable.

Great stay
Great location right in the heart of the historic area. Very friendly staff and easy check in process. It’s a no frills place so if you want more comforts of home and plan to spend lots of time in the room- this isn’t the place for you. It’s an old building and noise carries easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Hann was very friendly and professional and made our stay very enjoyable. Her pancakes every morning were very tasty and fun for the entire family. The rooms were very neat and very nicely decorated. The only issue to point out would be the bathrooms, they do need a bit of a makeover. Location is great and they provide afforable parking right behind the property.

Scurvy would be preferable
Building is over 100 years old and it looks and feels like it. Walls are basically cardboard. Parts of the bathroom are patched up with tape. After a long drive, me and my kids went to bed at around 10:30 because there is no TV in the room. There was a kid screaming and crying at that time, it continued to about 12:30 when after feeling irritated for being woken up several times by the same damn kid, I dropped some very loud F bombs and then the child was finally silenced. The pirate concept is good, the execution is not. You can take a refrigerator box and paint it to look like a Ferrari but it's just a box, this place should not be a hotel. And last but not least it's ridiculously over priced, they even charge you $15 for a parking spot, i ended up paying $162 for a one night stay.
