Publié le 24 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayFantastic week, host made the stay extra special with all the information about the area and the cottage. Cottage felt like home straight away and the views were amazing. Fantastic holiday didn’t want to come home, would definitely return.

Beautiful

The village is charming and in early September delightfully quiet - compared to eg Mevagissey. I appreciated the personal touch and attentiveness of our hosts - thank you !

Einer unserer schönsten Urlaube
Publié le 9 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWir verbrachten 2 herrliche Wochen im Cottage „Little Gwyn“ in Gorran Haven.
Das Cottage war wunderbar und ist jederzeit zu empfehlen, der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wirklich schön.Es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.
Auch als Ausgangsbasis zu anderen Zielen in Cornwall liegt Gorran Haven günstig.
Und besonders nett war unser Kontakt mit unseren Gastgebern Rebecca und Michael.
Wir wurden immer auf dem neuesten Stand gehalten und bekamen sehr viele Tipps zum Thema Ausflugsziele, Essen gehen, Einkaufen usw.
Dafür nochmals vielen herzlichen Dank an die Zwei.
Ein wirklich gelungener Urlaub in Cornwall und es wird nicht unser letzter sein.

Beautiful cottage in amazing location
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayA beautiful beach is just a 2 min walk away. It is dog friendly, our dog loved it. A fish and chip shop. A couple of shops selling Cornish ice creams. Right next to the coastal path also 5min drive from lost gardens of Heligan. Can’t recommend this place enough. A truly relaxing holiday.

Ideal Cornish Cottage

Lovely to wake to the sound of the sea and view of the sunrise.
Property owners Michael and Becky were very friendly and helpful, supplying lots of extra information about the area and were easily contactable

Lovely cottage in a lovely location - near the beach
Publié le 7 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I spent a lovely week in coastguard cottage with Billy our dog.
It's a gorgeous cottage, very cosy and with everything you need. It was spotless, and had a clean modern feel, but maintained the quirky old cottage feel.
Fab location, (you get used to going up and down the hill!) but it's worth the walk up as you get a gorgeous view of the sea, which you can see from the patio and some of the downstairs area. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a pasty, or cream tea!
You can see the sunrise from the (v.comfy) bed in main bedroom
Weather was superb, we had Little Perhaven beach to ourselves some days-swimming and paddleboarding!
There are lovely walks direct from the house - to Mevagissey and Hemmick beach in the other direction,
If you want to do more, then there are things to do in surrounding towns etc, but we stayed local.
We recommend the Haven Chippy, had a lovely fish and chips, salt and pepper squid and 'Haven Stack' burger!
We had a fab Sunday lunch at The Crown in St Ewe. It's a short 12 min drive, but the food was delicious and we went twice more during the week. They welcome dogs too :-) Also visit Cakebreads, such friendly people and interesting place!
If you haven't watched the film "About Time' do so, and take a walk to Vault Beach as that is where the beach scenes were filmed! It's already a fav film of ours and so fab to watch again when we were there.
All in all a lovely week.

Simply perfect!

Walking on your doorstep, seaviews from the terrace, swimming minutes away on the best of dog friendly beaches, fantastic pasties from the local shop Cake breads and the most delicious fish and chips opposite, enjoy!
