The St. Helena House
This delightful 125-year-old farmhouse, overlooking a vineyard, sits on two acres. Recently renovated, the house is 3,000 square feet and can comfortably sleep 6-8 people in three spacious bedrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and the third with a king and a view of the vineyards. 170 + Five Star Reviews on VRBO The home has AC in the three upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs does not have AC. City of St. Helena Short-Term Rental Permit # PL19 - 013V The downstairs has a large front room, a dining room and a separate parlor that is great for gathering around the fireplace with family and friends. There is a large wrap around porch that has two twin beds, which also have a view of the vineyards. The porch is also a wonderful place to dine on warm summer evenings. The downstairs living area does not have AC. This area stays fairly cool on warm days and nights. We do have portable fans, if needed. Wonderful location at the base of Spring Mountain in St. Helena. The house has several porches as well as a number of interior rooms for all to spread out and enjoy. The house was clean and particularly well stocked and organized which was appreciated. The only caveats to the house are the bedroom/bathroom configuration and lack of AC in the downstairs portion of the house. The three bedrooms are all upstairs and share one bathroom. There is another full bathroom downstairs off the kitchen. We were traveling with friends, but the bathroom sharing wasn't anticipated. We also hit a couple of very hot days during our stay and the downstairs was well over 80 degrees during those days even with fans running.Absent those two things, the house is well cared for and the convenience of the location is great.
we had a great day at this property. It fit our family perfectly and the host does a great job giving you recommendations for things in the area and making sure the house is fully stocked for you ahead of time.
House was amazing! Owners were wonderful & had great recommendations. The location is private, but only a few minutes from town. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again when we return to this area.
The St. Helena House was the perfect spot to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with friends. There was plenty of room to socialize inside and out, and it was a quick walk to town. I would definitely recommend for multiple couples!
The home is tucked away in a quiet part of town surrounded by beautiful vineyards but minutes to Main Street. It was spacious, clean, and had so much character! Host was awesome, responsive, and went above to give us recommendations of things to do and eat. Highly recommend!
Our family stayed at the St. Helena House while attending a memorial. The house exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and homey with many wonderful nooks to read, views of the vineyards out of every window, and a beautiful well stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were fine with fluffy towels and plenty of hot water with good water pressure in the showers. The owner was very welcoming and available for any questions. It rained all weekend so we did not get to enjoy the numerous outdoor spaces. I highly recommend this place for a family visit to the Napa Valley. We hated to leave!
We wanted to introduce friends from East Coast to the Napa Valley- history to modern day. This rare restored farmhouse with views of vineyards was ideal. Authentic, comfortable (with just the right amount of modern amenities but not too much to destroy the charm), spacious, wonderfully furnished, with superb kitchen (fully stocked), and screened porches, etc. The hosts were easy to communicate with and would stay again in a heartbeat. We have stayed at 60+ rentals around the world... this unique property ranks with the best.
This was my second time at St Helena House and it never disappoints. The home is charming, the grounds are beautiful and everything you need is close by. Cannot recommend enough.
Awesome house in the perfect location. So well equipped with everything needed, had coffee, bottled water, soft drinks, a bottle of wine and beer for us upon arrival!! Jim also provided information on local restaurants, wineries and tours that very helpful. Jim was also very responsive to questions. We hope the house is available for our next trip to St Helena.
This house was amazing. We will definitely be back. There is so much old history to be found in the house. It is situated right off of a vineyard, which is gorgeous at all times of the day. The house was beautifully stocked, and the host made sure we were more than comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone
Beautiful inside and out. Had everything we needed with very clear information and instructions. Jim was great and responded quickly. This place has so much character and charm. If we have the opportunity we will definitely be back
Upon arrival we found a gift basket full of goodies, fridge full of drinks and a very fun home for our family get together. Check in instructions were easy and accurate. The property was just what we needed for our weekend. We had a great time playing corn hole by the barn and sipping wine at the picnic tables. We will definitely recommend this property to friends!
The hosts were attentive but not intrusive. All of it so good!
Beautiful, warm and welcoming! We all enjoyed our stay. Sitting outside in the evenings, enjoying our wine purchases from the day, overlooking a beautiful vineyard and valley. Loved the history, charm and character of this beautiful farm house.
I stayed at Jimâs house during my wedding weekend with a few of my groomsmen and their partners. Big weekend for me obviously, and this house certainly contributed to it living up to the hype.
We were welcomed with some snacks, wine, and a fridge full of beverages to our surpriseâthanks again Jim! The property itself is beautiful, with great views of the vineyards and tons of areas to sit and lounge outside. The wraparound porch was awesome for hanging out too when we got bit too toasty outside. All the beds were comfortable for me and my guests, and the living spaces were quite comfy too.
Additionally, the charm and history this house possesses is one of a kind. You truly feel like youâre getting that true, vintage Napa Valley experience. And, you canât beat this location: you feel like youâre out in the country yet a few minutes from downtown St. Helena.
Overall, this house was amazing and perfect for our group. Iâd highly recommend it to others and would love to stay here again!
We loved staying here. The openness of the property and our luck in great weather provided an idyllic place to enjoy the company of our group. We walked to dinner each night and gazed at the night sky upon return.
The peace, serenity, and splendor of your house was perfect. Our stay will be long remembered. Thank you for your hospitality!
As a bonus, the house was marvelously fit out for the times we elected to stay in and cook!
Canât say enough about this place and the owners. Beautiful view of the vines and walking distance to St. Helena. Owner is a great communicator and there are lots of amenities with the home. Canât wait to come back!
