We have made a formal complaint with photos about the cleanliness. Covid compliance cannot have been adhered to as apart from a thick layer of dust on kitchen appliances we found a pile of toenails on the lounge table !!!!!! We await your feedback on this . An apology has been forthcoming from housekeeping but we do not feel in this time if Covid that this is enough !!!! Your advert about being Covid compliant cannot be true in this instance .

We are so sorry again for the way you found Artist's Harbour on your arrival. It really is not how the properties we manage are presented and left ordinarily. It is not an excuse but the reason is on that weekend of your arrival, the housekeeping firm who looks after this property had 3 members of its small team isolating with Covid. St Ives has been struggling this year with staffing issues and service levels due to the impact of Covid, what with staff being pinged and also self-isolating due to being infected. Our own agency has been affected 4 times in the space of 2 months by this. I know many people have been disappointed by bookings being cancelled ahead of their stay whether it's restaurant bookings or indeed holiday bookings but we have managed to ensure everyone has had their holiday this year. You are absolutely right to be upset that you found nail clippings and we would have wanted to send the housekeeping team back in again if we had been told on your arrival day. Sadly you emailed a member of staff of Sunday and our office hours are Tuesday to Saturday so we were unable to remedy your disappointment immediately. There is an out of office hours number to call which is on all of our communication and within the App and we do our best to help when contacted as swiftly as possible. We are in contact with you directly and hope to see you back at Artist's Harbour again in the future as I'm sure you enjoyed your stay there despite the initial disappointment around cleanliness.

Wonderful holiday

Excellent location virtually right on the harbour front ! Views from bedroom and lounge amazing ! Welcome pack was such a lovely thought and very much appreciated, bread was amazing !! Just a few minor issues for us which I wish I had probably understood little bit more , mum and dad found stairs in house quite challenging , particularly to lower bedroom , but overall did not spoil our stay ! Also parking to unload the car on the Saturday was hectic , needed to be done tho as booked car park is a good 15 -20 minute walk away up a hill , we should have parked in local car park and waited for crowd and traffic to lessen . However despite these minor issues we had a fabulous time and didn’t want to leave !
