Some small issues to do with the rails in the wardrobes but 5p coins took care of these issues.

Perfect carbis bay stay

The views from the flat are arguably the best, taking in the beach, sea and St Ives from the living room through massive windows. The layout of the bedrooms is unusual but works well with the children away from the the living room. A useful space outside the front door to dry and keep wetsuits etc safely. Would definitely stay again.

October Half Term break

Kids enjoyed staying there as much as us. Being close to the beach (be prepared for a a good hill climb) and also helped having Netflix for them to keep them entertained whilst we got ready for the day.
Couldn’t fault the property, just thought the 8.30am exit call was too early for us on the last day to get three young kids and packing sorted, so ended up leaving the night before. However it did mean an easier drive home with not too much traffic.
Would definitely stay again and recommend for such a lovely location and area.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Beach View holiday apartment and we were delighted that you enjoyed your holiday with us.
Our standard departure time can very often be changed by simply contacting our housekeeping team during your holiday and they will usually be able to work around a later checkout. Following feedback from guests over the years we have focused much more on providing guests with earlier check-in times so that holidays can begin as quickly as possible but the trade off is an earlier check-out and this enables us enough time for our thorough cleaning and many guests do like to get away fairly early at the end of their holiday if they are travelling long distances. Many holiday letting businesses locally have now moved to 5pm check-in times and we are very pleased to be able to continue offer guests much earlier access times.
We would be delighted to welcome you again on your next visit to Carbis Bay and offer you a later check-out time more suited to your family :-)

Another excellent stay!

Lovely, clean and spacious apartment with parking in the beautiful location of Carbis bay, 2 minute walk to the station and beach areas with easy access into St Ives, would definitely recommend, thank you for another wonderful stay!

Well-located. Overpriced.
Publié le 21 août 2021 sur HomeAwayWe have just spent a week in this apartment. The views from the front are fabulous and the location is very good and very near Carbis Bay train station. The kitchen is very well stocked and the sitting room is lovely. The beach is gorgeous. The walk down to the beach is relatively steep but not difficult for the average person/child.
However I do feel that the cost was high for what we got. This is a two bedroom flat with attractive views from the open plan front sitting room/kitchen but which is very much less attractive to the rear. The rear ground floor bedrooms have windows overlooking a communal courtyard with a bright lamppost in it. There were blackout blinds in one bedroom but not the other. There is a patio outside the sitting room but it is centimetres away from the patio of the neighbours on each side, so you are heavily dependent on them being considerate (which they were during our week). Also, to get to the covered parking space, you have to go up two flights of stairs and cross a road. Also the mattresses creaked very loudly every time we moved. Finally on arrival the house smelt strongly of air fresheners (we counted six in total) and the storage heaters were on - in August - it took overnight to cool down.
Overall, there are many pluses about this property, but be in no doubt that it is a commercial rental property which is part of a portfolio.

Great apartment at brilliant location

Car parking space too small and check in time far too late in the day and check out of 8.30am pretty unhelpful with a family to organise and car to pack.

I'm delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and in particular that you enjoyed the stunning front line views the apartment has and the very easy access down to Carbis Bay Beach and Carbis Bay Station. Our private covered parking space is a big plus as parking in the resort is very limited and the size is very standard for the area and will accommodate very large vehicles. We do our very best to allow guests to check in early but we do need sufficient times between guest changeovers to clean very thoroughly and many of the holiday companies operating in St Ives have now moved to a 5pm check in. As always we will always try to meet special requests regarding guest check in and check out times. Thank you for your positive comments and we hope to see you again at Beach View :)

What a view :)
Publié le 10 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely time staying at the apartment. The view to the beach and ocean is what makes the apartment so special.
The location is great although the walk up the hill back from the beach is a killer. Very steep hill.
A couple of things that we didn’t like were the beds as they were lumpy and hard. We didn’t sleep well in them at all so maybe the owner can invest in some better quality mattresses?
Also, the washer/dryer was temperamental to use as once the cycle finished it locked the clothes inside. We waited half hour to see if the lock would turn off but it didn’t so ended up having to contact the owner who responded promptly.
We ended up running the cycle again to get the clothes out in the end.
We also tried to dry the clothes but it ended up washing them instead so I’d say more guidance is needed for the washer/dryer usage.
Aside from those two issues we loved our stay and highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Carbis Bay :)

The geography of Carbis Bay is stunning and why its so popular with visitors and our apartment maximises is cliff top location to offer awesome front line views of the beach and St Ives Bay. Guest comfort is also our priority and rest assured your feedback is valuable. Mattress comfort however can be very personal to each individual guest and we do try our best to get this right :) As we explained the child lock mechanism had been activated on the washing machine which was the cause of the difficulties you had but I'm very pleased that we were able to resolve this problem quickly. There is a folder available within the apartment which has the detailed operating instructions of all the appliances. Finally, I am delighted you would recommend the apartment as this gives us the greatest satisfaction.
