Lameshur Cottage's Guest House

This secluded Caribbean cottage is tucked into the hillside on the quieter south side of St. John and offers panoramic mountain views of the surrounding National Park. It is within easy walking distance to many of St. John's best beaches and hiking trails. The interior of the cottage offers comfortable accommodations with a queen-size bed that sleeps two and a fully equipped kitchen and bath. The large covered porch provides spacious outdoor living and dining areas with a grill and daybed.

A queen bed with fresh linens is situated in the main room when you arrive. A full kitchen with all the amenities needed cook from home and enjoy the view. A bathroom with a walk in shower, fresh towels, bodywash/shampoo, and hairdryer is all provided.

The covered outdoor patio is the best place to soak in the views, we have also provided a sugar bird feeder with sugar if your a bird lover. We have full size day bed that is perfect for taking a nap or can even sleep a 3rd/4th guest. There is also a grill for cooking along with couch and a table for relaxing and enjoying the National Park mountain views.

Its decidedly Caribbean design and decor, along with its incomparable National Park setting, make it the perfect vacation choice for those seeking the peace and tranquility of a true island getaway.

We are located on the furthest side away from the ferry on which you will arrive. We STRONGLY suggest renting a car.

-Salt Pond beach (one of the more popular beaches on St John) is 0.25 miles away

-Kiddel Bay is 0.5 miles away

-Grootpan bay is 0.5 miles away

-Great Lameshur beach 0.8 miles away

-Little Lameshur beach is 1 mile away

With the second bed being on the covered outdoor patio we suggest if there is going to be a 3rd/4th guest they are ok with a more outdoorsy style stay.

Chic, breezy Island getaway!
Thank you so much Bill, Emily & Lily!! We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful, comfortable, unique, open air cottage! The breezes off the ocean and hillsides were lovely. We especially enjoyed the blast from the past by sipping our coffee while listening to 70’s lp’s on the retro turntable! The Bananaquits, frogs & geckos (?) were quite entertaining too! The proximity to Salt Pond Bay for swimming & snorkeling as well as near by restaurants made for a perfect spot to spend a few days on St. John Island!!

Great Place to Stay!
Really enjoyed my stay. The hosts were super nice and beyond helpful. It was super nice being right up the road from Salt Pond Beach. You’re on the less crowded side of the island so you get to see a lot of wildlife which I loved. My only suggestion is if you stay here you almost have to rent a car.

Gorgeous cottage getaway
This was such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay a few nights on St John. It was close enough walking to Salt Pond beach for a swim and a hike, and short drive to Lameshur for another peaceful experience on the water. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, we loved the open air flow and the bed out on the patio. The stars, breeze and sound of nature at night was such a treat! We’d definitely stay here again. It was a very memorable getaway for us!

Bill was an amazing host, so gracious. I loved the architecture of the cottage we stayed in. Many additional amenities beyond a typical room. The old vinyl disc player and outside bed were favourites. Plus this location is close to some hidden beaches and even a nice barbeque restaurant that serves a great brisket. It's a half hour drive from the bustle of the bar side of the island, perfect for a nice, quiet time. I definitely recommend without hesitation.

Wonderful Anniversary Getaway
The Lameshur Cottage guest house was exactly what we had hoped it would be. It’s away from the hustle of Cruz Bay, nestled in the mountain side near Coral Bay. There are so many cool hikes and beaches close by as well access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world on the north shores within a short drive. With a kitchen, appliances and a quick trip to the local grocery store only minutes away we saved a ton on meals. When we felt like going out to eat, Skinny Legs quickly became our favorite local diner. The hosts Bill and Emily were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Guaranteed you won’t find a better bang for your buck in the VI. Would absolutely stay here again if I‘m ever fortunate enough to return to St. John.

Cottagey wonderfulness! This was a unique experience for my husband and me, which we really enjoyed. Super location so close to Great and Little Lameshur Bays, and to Salt Pond so made visiting these locations during our stay a breeze. Great studio cabin that was comfortable, peaceful and had everything we needed for our week. Bill and Emily were great hosts, fun to talk with and offered suggestions on everything from beaches for snorkeling to places to eat. Walking distance to Salt Pond Bay and if you’re up to the trek: Groupon that had the best sea life and Kiddle the second best. We took our jeep to both and were often the only people there! It is Not a resort or a hotel it is a remote cabin with a glamping vibe!

Loved this cottage! It had everything we needed and more. Me and my Husband really enjoyed our stay. Note that it is quite far from town. Totally my fault that I didn’t do more research on St. John and I found out there’s only 3 main roads that take 30-45 min to drive if you want to go get groceries, eat out, or go to the pharmacy like we had to do. As well as most beaches are far but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless 😊 I definitely recommend staying here.

Cute studio cottage with all the amenities. Rustic and close to the National Park. Not a villa in site! Walking distance to Salt Pond Bay and Lameshure Bays and the Petroglyph trail to Reef Bay. The cottages at Lameshur are quite unique. The cottages are on an isolated road on the east side of St John, down the road from Coral Bay. The cottage is a bit eclectic, but it has the convenience of a clean bathroom and WI-FI. There’s a nice beach walking distance from the cottage. The only drawback, since the toilet is attached to a septic tank, you can’t flush toilet paper down the drain. I loved staying at Lameshur and listening to the wind and wildlife while sleeping in the cottage.
