This is our 3rd stay at James' place and it is by far the best value on the island. The view is spectacular. It is close enough to Cruz Bay to make going into town easy but far enough away to be quiet.

Second time staying and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We love the location, the porch, the cold air conditioner at night - everything about the place. We love that we don’t have to go into downtown for dinner with the places that are about 5 minutes away. Great communication with host.

Extremely responsive host and property manager. Allowed us to stay an extra day when our original flight was canceled and we arrived a day later. As mentioned in other reviews, new screens if the screened in room would be extremely helpful to keep bugs out.

Excellent communication and service from the host Scott. Villa was cleaned at a high level by the housekeeper which is not always the case at other villas. View, pool and other amenities were also excellent. Overall, they know what they are doing and I would rent there again.

Perfect for what we needed…

The place had EVERYTHING one might need, from big sun hats, to a washer/dryer, and everything in between. It was close to town, but quiet (except for the rooster). We made breakfast every morning, enjoyed the sunsets from the terrace. It was not wicked fancy, but felt like home by the end of our trip.

It was so hard to leave the hammock on breezy porch! The villa is absolutely charming and comfortable, and clean as a whistle. Very cute and unique architecture inside. Location was easy to find, James met us at our car rental. You get used to driving on the left pretty fast! I wouldn’t do it but husband is a confident and competent driver. Villa had backpack chairs and a cooler we could use. The kitchen was great to cook in, we were “those kind of people” that did bring frozen foods from home. It was worth it to us to save the money. Tap water perfectly drinkable. AC in the bedroom was nice for sleeping although some nights the fans were enough. There’s plenty of room in the villa for two. The laundry was a bonus because we could pack less clothes. It was a delight to return every night from being at the beach all day and have a nice meal on the screened in porch. We didn’t use the pool much but enjoyed the deck at night to watch for constellations and satellites. James is a kind and responsive host. If the place is available, book it!!!

Cozy cottage

We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage on the property which was below the main house with steps going up to the pool area.If it wasn’t for the roosters crowing at 4am I probably would have slept in more.I would definitely schedule another stay. Great private cottage with all the amenities.

Spectacular views

James' cottage was the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of St John for the first time. The views were amazing and the indoor/outdoor feeling of the living area made it even more special. It was close enough to town to make it convenient, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. James made check in a breeze. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful stay

Jim went above and beyond, picking us up at the ferry dock late at night when our flight was delayed. Our unit was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of Cruz Bay and St. Thomas. King sized bed was very comfortable. Very nice shaded pool area. Cruz Bay was a convenient ten minute drive.
